  1. Bill, What would my option be ? Please explain
  2. Nipigon has been on my bucket list for years now. I have decided that its time to venture up there. This trip could possibly be during the fall of 2015 or early summer 2016. I know many of you have been up there and have lots of info on fishing , lodges ect..... Im looking to stay at a very low budget lodge. Im not opposed to camping but would like to have power to charge the trolling motor batteries. Any information would be greatly appreciated. PM's preferred
  3. I cant wait to bonk a nice hen this spring. I need roe No sarcasm
  4. This may answer your question Lew
  5. You guys are turning me on !! Can't wait
  6. I'm trying to make sense here........ Port Hope, Ganny, ice jam, hi hoe there ,breaking ice, town scared ! Oh oh ! Am I right ?
  7. Im currently looking at the same card. If you go on the Navionics website you can see a list of the lakes that you can download. Not as many lakes as I hoped for. I have nothing to compare it to as I don't have a gps
  8. They all have their time and place. In general, when the water is really cold, I prefer to use Husky Jerks and Smithwick Rogues.( using longer pauses and slower twitches ) When the water warms up a bit moving into summer and early fall I prefer to use the more eratic Lucky Crafts, X raps, and Megabass ( using fast rips and hard twitches )
  9. I believe colour makes a difference as well. Been fishing too many times when one colour out produces another
  10. I'm on the fence about this topic. What about this theory......... Teach them at a young age to hit properly and to take a hit properly ( similar to lacrosse ) By the time they are 10-13 years old they already know how to avoid the contact by keeping their head up and moving the puck. Introducing contact at an age like 13 and 14 when they are full of piss and vinegar might not be the right time.
  11. Mike, I will have to get back to you on this one. I have a Vegan wife ( who is a nutritionist ), and two vegan daughters ( 14 and 16 ) And a bacon eating non vegetarian son ( 8 yrs ) I will have to consult with the wife and get back with an educated response. I have a lot of experience dealing with this You may be over reacting IMO
  12. No music in the boat for me either. But......... If I am on my way to the lake and " switchin to glide " comes on the radio it will definetly be a good day "Get up for the down stroke" by Parlaiment Funkadelic cadence works very very well for jerkbaiting
  13. Was up in Barrie for the day on Saturday. Had a chance to visit the new Cabellas store for the first time I have to say that I was not very impressed. I had expected much more selection and better prices Mind you , I was only in the fishing section Maybe if I was a member of Duck Dynasty, I would like the store much more These big box store like BPS , Sail and Cabellas are to generic for me, I much prefer the smaller mom and pop shops for my needs Just my two cents
  14. you should always use a 50 pound flouro leader when fishing $ 27 baits in pike and musky infested water. It doesn't hurt the action of the bait
  15. Holy $hit............. Nice muskies dude . well done
  16. Tough question. I would probably say a 5 1/2 inch Smithwick Rogue in clown colour or Chartreuse spinnerbait or Black jig and pig or White grub
  17. I had a look. looks frozen stiff to me. Lots of people out fishing and skating.
  18. We had a 2002 caravan for years problem free. Lasted till 320k. Stated to rust out pretty good and was having a hard time starting. We did lots of research on various minivans and decided on a 2007 Toyota Sienna. It drove great for about a year and then we blew the tranny $3800 later. The van has been great. In hindsight we should have gone with the caravan again. Good luck with your search
  19. Well done Ryan. You definitely have the passion for your fishing and family. Keep up the good work. One request though......... Can you please give my number to April Vokey, thanks I will be waiting by the phone
  20. So I guess it's safe to say that I didn't win the contest. Way to put the guys on fish Mike ! Well done
