  1. Nice. My go to lure during all seasons. Pike love em too !
  2. Nice pike Cliff ! Im glad that you clarified the length and weight of the pike. Most people tend to think that a pike of that length is well over 20 pounds. 16 pounds seems pretty accurate to me Well done boys !
  3. I have had many run ins with Yacht club employees/members telling me that I cant fish in " their marina " I politely tell them that I have every right to fish there and carry on with what I am doing. Once I had a guy ( who I have had run ins with before )screaming at me and we just acted like we didn't even see or hear him and just kept fishing. He was only ten feet away and his blood was boiling. pretty funny. I also have no problem telling people to take a hike either. Although I have never had to do this, I am prepared. My neighbor is the chief of the T.O. marine unit and I got confirmation from him that they cant kick you out. ( access from a boat )
  4. In my opinion, October is the best time of year for multi species fishing. Almost everything is open. Most fish are feeding heavy in preparation for the winter months. Kawartha and Great Lakes Musky Smallmouth and largemouth bass almost anywhere Great lakes salmon and trout fishing can be really hot depending on rainfall If I could take time away from work and the family it would always be around the first or second week in October
  5. Quote " Nice man! Why didn't you fish in highschool? S." Quote I did ! was chasing Salmon out in the lake with the old man. Thanks for all the kind words guys !
  6. Been on the forum for a while now. Typically I don't post much information but I try to contribute when I can. Here are a few pics from recent years to celebrate my 1000th post They say a picture says a thousand words. So here are a few thousand words in pictures Pike- Because the pike season in southern and central Ontario is so long, I spend most of my time chasing these guys. I love the visual aspect of big pike chasing and engulfing lures. Relatively easy to catch, but sometimes very finicky. Bass- What can I say, I love bass. Especially largemouth. I do enjoy targeting smallmouth a couple times of year as well. Skiis and Eyes- I really should target both species more often. Once or twice a year for each is usually enough to get my fix or a quick tasty treat. Trout- Most of my trout days happened long before digital cameras. Once I purchased a boat, I started to lose interest in trout. Here are a few pics from recent years.

  8. My buddy caught this fish on a jerkbait years ago. We both watched the half blind fish attack the bait. The fish had an ice fishing rig tangled up around his face and his jaw was hanging off. Poor guy was still trying to eat Tough fish for sure
