I got it figured out. I put the unit in the front to see if it was the unit. Power came on. Traced the wires back to the battery and found a blown fuse and bad connections to the battery. Cleaned the terminals and replaced the fuse. Thanks guys

Hey guys, My Lowrance Hook 5 at the helm was installed about 2 years ago. I have not taken the unit off since installation until last week. When I re- installed the unit ,I cant get any power. I have double checked that the power cable has been connected properly. Any ideas ? Thanks

I like to have two rods set up. One for texas rig and one for wacky. Once the texas rig senko gets beat up you can re- use the worm on the wacky rig. Expensive baits, so anytime you can re- use the bait saves $. 6 ft 6 med. heavy. 20 pound braid with flouro leader. I prefer spinning gear so I can skip trees and docks

What is Wrong with People.....Updated Good Guys Win
msp replied to FloatnFly's topic in General Discussion
I understand that people like to show off their good fishing days with posts and videos ect..... But is it really worth the headache for a bit of glory ? Not worth it in my opinion. Its people like that, that ruin things for everyone else. Heck , why do you think Mike doesn't post on here any longer. Posting reports will soon be a thing of the past. So how are the Maple Leafs going to do this year......... anyone ? -

My daughter booked Killarney PP for our camping trip this summer in late August. Any recommendations for things to do in the area? Fun off the beaten path type things. Also, What should I expect as far as fishing. Mostly Smallmouth ? Do I bring the boat or canoe ? Thanks

That's a little too close. Im sure if he struck up a conversation and asked if it was okay to share the water you would have been fine with that . Probably even offered advise on what they are biting. A little politeness goes a long way.

Thanks for all your replies. Turns out that there is not damage to the hull. The front deck shifted in the accident. Damage to the winch mast, tongue but not the hull. I fixed everything myself. Thanks to Princess auto !

French River Trip...scary start, wet week, decent fishing
msp replied to bigcreekdad's topic in General Discussion
I too had the same thing happen this weekend. Damaged the back of the vehicle and potential damage to the hull of the boat. I was by myself and had a hard time getting the tongue back on the vehicle. Pieced it all back together and returned home with my tail between my legs. Your point about helping others...... what goes around comes around. If we all put forth a bit of effort helping others, we will get help when we eventually need it. Good job on the fishing! -
Hey everybody, Does anyone have any recommendations for a good hull repair company. I had an unfortunate accident with the boat this weekend I appreciate any responses Thanks,

I gave up on Photobucket long ago. Too many glitches, pop ups and very , very slow. Photobucket is the main reason why I don't share picture or posts here any longer. Too much of a P.I.T.A

My buddy and I do a technique I call strolling. He loves to troll and I prefer casting. I stand in the front and cast the shoreline while he sits on his ass and trolls. Very low speeds. When I need a bit more time on a piece of structure he puts the boat in neutral or turns off the trolling motor. I get a couple extra casts in on said piece of structure and we continue on. We both catch fish. Very effective way of fishing. Cover lots of water.

Fished it a ton back in the day. Wouldn't be my first choice for walleye either. Great Bass, pike tho

I have a 16 ft Sylvan SC 2008. Great boat. Doesn't ride as smooth as a Lund but for my style of fishing its great. A higher and larger deck than the Lund . Light weight for towing , can get into some real skinny water too.Handles big Lake Ontario rollers and white caps too. raf is correct. Sylvan stopped production of their fishing boats and only makes pontoon boats now. Obviously there are better made boats out there but they come with a larger pric tag. Good luck
