Who is akaShag and why is he here? (Introduction)

If you don't behave I'll just deny ever telling you about the place, or even knowing you for that matter. -
Pull out the rod, tweak the artificials, turn 'er on, transducer in the hole, and put the ping speed and sensitivity right up to the max. They'll be swimming by in no time.

I like Cannons, Scottys and Big Jons. In no particular order. They're all good. Seriously. Pick one and that'll be "your" favorite in no time.

almost as good as fresh caught, fried walleye.

Big grin here Simon. -

Well Sir Doug... welcome aboard here my friend. There will be more fish coming this spring I hope. Your avatar is beard at it's gnarliest but, the man I know keeps himself in check and has heart of gold. Your years fishing and hunting will be an asset to this place. -
Fanatastic turnout by the looks of things... and what a tonne of awesome prizes for the event as well. That's some derby motivation for others to come out and support in future events. Well done by those who continue to make it all happen.

UGHH!!! Harsh! WHY??? lol.

Thanks again all. Making videos is an even longer and more involved process than writing reports, but this was fun for something different and the end result IMhumbleO is pretty cool to me. Totally Pete!!! Drilling the hole and my girls being funny and swinging their arms in the sleigh were favorites for me too.

Kenozha Lake Outpost - Tons Of Pic's!

First quick look through several of the pages and it's probably one of, if not the best personal/professional angler websites I have yet to view. The boat deal, free gear, trip opportunities and publications will be all over you soon, certain of that. Year of experience and you've work hard at it all. Solid new start and good luck. -
You sir have an unparalleled talent with the lens... but not only that, it's the imagination first which sets up the entire scene. Creative Mike! Enjoy your photos every time dood... Ohhhh and good fishing too.

Live Target... weren't they like last years Jackalls but both destined to one day go the way of the incredible Cotton Cordell Divers? Will in 5 years their costs not likely be cut nearly in half, and if they last 10 years they not likely be in $4.89 bargain bins at BPS & Sail? Rarely spend $15 on any lure... maybe a Rapala of sorts about that price... A Yozi too pushing around $12. But not much else... only time the big bucks come out is when buying sweet sweet muskie lures. Can't believe some of these tiny pieces of conveyor belt plastic are selling for nearly as much as some hand-crafted big baits.

Buzzer beater eye! Nice. Gotta pick up a heavier stick too. That Frabill could fit the bill.

Fishing was solid! Ling cleaning was nasty. Your brother looks like a man-witch. Overall I give this report an A- Keep trying.

Cold water lure seeking missiles... laker attack!
Moosebunk replied to Fisherpete's topic in General Discussion
Last one is a chunker Pete! She's sweet! Solid "Missile Command" there Mr. Atari. -
Apologies for your loose chiclets Wayne... but not for those AWESOME deafening tunes by White Zombie. Some of you doods aren't old, you must actually be ancient. Those two songs are nearly 20 years old now. What were yas in 95 eh? like 30??? lol. Those tunes gotta make ya think hooksets and sled rides... everytime! Thanks peeps!

Winter has been one wicked beast this year. Settled into working more and fishing less through December and only managed to make it out for a day and an evening on the ice. My girls “vacationing” away two weeks come January meant no-holds-barred fishing time if the ER’s didn't bog me down too much through the annual flus and after Christmas blues season. Well, managed to continue working double-time anyways and put 22 days on the ice between New Years day and Valentines Day. It has been a run for sure and not all outings in the BIG deep freeze and ever deepening snow have been easy, but some days have been super fruitful. A few friends have joined in a time but most days are like the old ways, solo as it was in the Moose. For something different the GoPro has been rolling steady and it has captured more than 70 videos. This here You-Tube link should sum it all up just about right. Enjoy the rest of your hardwater season. Bunk.

Good show Joe! Winter has been a real wonderland this year. With all the snow I've been finding the fishing quite good as the access is made tough for quads, and even some sledders must be staying safe to just the main trails. You're a lucky guy though to have that many good options so close to home.

Largies in the weeds... reef 'em in sure. Why not..? Thing I noticed with smallies in the past was, the harder I'd pull the more nuts and aerial they get. Gearing down to light gear and loosening up a little with them, they'd stay in the water more. Fight time would be longer but a little safer.. ya dig!?!

That one is a CRACKAH Bill. Geez! Can imagine some wicked reel peel through the hole. Nothing much more enjoyable in icefishing than seeing the BIG bar appear, lay chase and hammertime.
-
Perfect with the morning coffee today Tyler. You do have an amazing mix of opportunities up there. The Sault was one of the places I tried to have my wife consider us moving to years ago........ what could have been. Great report. Don't leave it too long next time.

Don't know why I never at least had a pop-up when living up north. Huts are the bomb yo! Heaters inside them are even awesomer. But I get a headache, then a little dizzy and usually pass out awhile... that part kinda sucks. Outside ya just gotta keep on fishin' on to stay warm.
-
Fun and sun. Man, that'd be nice. Enjoy it Cliff... cause even if ya come home in June it'll likely be -30C.
-
Wicked Pete. You're slayin' em as usual. Eyes and lakers like that, best of both worlds.
-
No volume at work... Brief snippet and am looking forward to watching this later. Thanks for posting, always enjoy these kinda finds.

Tuesday on Quinte there were two people out checking on everyone but I think they were doing studies of some sort. Big Island, Telegraph, Deseronto, Long Reach and Hay Bay/Shermans they spent the entire day out and spoke with every group they saw. Barely any fish caught at all that day, at any of those places.
