  1. How about joining the ONFC GTG at Lakair the week-end of June 17. Lots of members will be there and you'll find both species right there. Give Kevin and Leslie a call to see what may be available. Great times, great friends, and some good fishing thrown in.
  2. Attaboy Brian. I recall my first grand-daugher. Born 2 months pre-mature and was in ICU units at different hospitals for a few months. Sure was a joy to see her finally come home as well. Happy Pappy eh ?
  3. Great report Cookslav and a great read. Thanks for taking the time to put this up.
  4. Same thing down here. All the dams and reservoirs are extremely high. Local major dam has some of the launches closed due to the high water. And, of course, they're all muddy due to all the run off.
  5. That's about what I paid for the 1450 LMT version on Black Friday last year. Great little unit and have gone through two free map updates already. Although, when I ran the map updates, the total process took over 1 1/2 hours to complete - closer to 2 hours EACH. Traffic updates work nice, when in range for the signal. Alerted me to traffic congestion in Pittsburgh this year. That 5" screen is sweet.
  6. Exactly why I had one installed last year for my T/M battery. Heavy sucker I got tired of lifting out of the boat and carrying back and forth to the cabin all the time. Good luck.
  7. Thanks guys ... Sure glad I ain't on dial-up any more.
  8. Hope it's a good one. Happy Birthday Brian.
  9. Very sad indeed. Maybe we can get something put up in our Memorial Section for our good friend - and a friend to many.
  10. Whew ... my 2009 should be safe. But, I did get a notice about something wrong with the door handles. Waiting a follow-up notice when the parts are available.
  11. Our condolances to you and your family Dan. Great pic as a testiment to papa.
  12. We'll be letting our two behind this year. We're bringing our son-in-law this time, and just a wee bit too crowded for the long trip. We'll miss them though.
  13. Attboy Mike. You do make some great looking baits. Hope the show was a success for you.
  14. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
  15. Happy Birthday wishes from "South of the Border"
  16. My sincere condolences Albert. I dread the day I'll have to go through this.
  17. That would be great to fill the place up that week-end. Lots of new folks to finally meet.
  18. Must be a good day for folks to have Birthdays. Hope it is a great one for ya Brandon.
  19. Hope she's a great day for ya Norm. Many happy returns.
  20. Just saw this post ... so I'll be joining the ranks of the voters.
  21. That's tough Cliff. Been 3 years since I put mine down ... still miss her. Have her pictures here at home and at work. Never will be another one like her. My tribute and remembrance is my avatar.
  22. Hope it's a great one Wayne. Happiest of Birthdays to ya.
  23. There is a to be a Cabelas in Wheeling WV I believe - not all that far from Pittsburgh. Never been there - but it's in the area.
  24. Art. I too have the Navionics HotMaps Premium. MSD/PREM E6 Vol 1.22 Mine is from 2007. I pretty much use it for Navigation purposes only. I do use it to know about where shallower areas are and in somewhat handy last year up at Lakair. Couple errors I found - like markers the wrong color. Thought about getting a newer version, but the recent additions would not help much in the areas I fish up that way. I have an old version of Map Create for Canada, that I made some maps from. Although this only shows shoreline contours - no depths and such. Again, primarily for navigation on unmapped waters - which the French River has not been mapped. Not sure I helped ya much, but this is what I have and how I use it. See you guys in a few months - coming in late Friday afternoon.
  25. There ya go. Twas easy to do.
