  1. Once in a lifetime shots. Totally cloud cover down here, so I didn't even bother getting up. Looking forward to seeing the shots that you were able to catpure. Good night Joey. Good morning Lew.
  2. You don't know how appealing that looks right about now. Wouldn't mind being there. Great work.
  3. We got short of rain late this summer. You'd be surprised how often something like this happened in my area. Solid band - then breaks to the north and south of us. So yeah, I can believe that.
  4. No worries TJ. Ya only have a few more months to go.
  5. But .... what do you do if they stay firm for more than four hour. Seriously thou, wouldn't some tackle supply place have the molds and plastic that you could make your own ?
  6. Probably one of the better ones that they are flooding the commercial time with.
  7. Good here ... even from this distance.
  8. Ask the people I work with ... that's how I type all the time.
  9. That's how I removed some very large icicles from the second story of the house. Lot of weight there and starting to pull down the spouting. A few somewhat well-placed snowballs and all that stuff came crashing down. Being a pitcher in the younger days still pays off. Of course, those that missed made an aweful bang inside the house. Patsy comes running out to what what the heck I'm doing.
  10. All our best for the Mrs Kelvin.
  11. Chilly - But the sun is shining here. Balmy 39 Degrees F.
  12. Well a big thank-ya to our friends up north. We ended up driving out to Pittsburgh and having a great meal with Patsy's daughter and family. Fortunately the winter weather advisories for Rain, sleet, and mixed precip, never materialized where we were driving. Fortunately, just a nusiance rain all the way out and back. Now a little R&R before beddy time.
  13. I know what you mean - they're on the move down here as well. Three guys I work with, all smacked a deer last week. The one guy only had his car for about a week. Patsy also came close to one last week. Lots of blood spatters and carcass' along the highway.
  14. Very nice. I keep sayin' that I'd like to make the trip up there sometime. Who knows, maybe it will be in the cards one of these years. Glad ya all had such a great time.
  15. 10 hours .... yeah, I could make that.
  16. Wouldn't mind being a part of this some year. Good to see the fish are cooperating the big ones are hungry.
  17. That's great to hear.
  18. That's a great way to start off musky fishing. Congrats on your first
  19. Ah ... He's still just a kid. He'll catch up to the rest of us someday. Have a great time ... and remember nothing tomorrow morning.
  20. The Gold Blades (with a Black skirt) seemed to be the lure of choice for one fellow when he was fishing up at Wolseley Bay the same week I was there. Nailed 6 in a week with one hitting the 50" mark. They really look good Mike.
  21. That's a great testimonial there Lew. Sure does sound like your family answered the call and served their country with great honor. Something to be proud of for sure. I know of only one relative on my side that served during war time. My one uncle was in the Battle of the Bulge and was wounded by machine gun fire. He did survive the war. My uncle really never talked about his experiences, so I don't know any of his stories. I guess you just realty can't grasp the concept of true war unless you were there. My Dad served in the US Army in the late 60's and spent part of him time in Berlin as a photographer. Probably touchy times in Berlin about then. Thanks Lew. This was a great read to start the day. I know there are a number of other members on here who also served their respective countries with great price and will enjoy reading this. Thanks again for taking the time to put this together. Stay well my friend.
  22. The "LIES". Without them - would the wife let you fish at all ?
  23. Now that's how you prepare to close out the season
  24. Good luck Brandon. Sounds like this trip is getting you a lot of publicity for your great work.
  25. Jack did the very same thing for me - possibly the same year. Walked me down to his boat and handed over a handful of jig heads. We still use them and Patsy just loves them. A very kind and generous man that I hope he receives in return, many times over, in these times. Still prayin' for ya bud.
