  1. Welcome aboard Devin.
  2. Ditto. Maybe we can check out the F150's.
  3. Just two weeks from right now .... I'll be within two hours of Lakair. Looking forward to seeing old friends and making some new ones. Anxiety is building to get out on the water for the first time this year.
  4. And the fish fry, the picnic, the camp fires, and all the fire-side chats and sharing of stories. (Some true and maybe some stretched a bit). Looking forward to putting some faces to some new names. Oh yeah, and some items to sweeten the prize table. Picked up some stuff at the Harrisburg Sport show this year. Hope I remember to pack it.
  5. A salute to all the men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Watched the National Memorial Day Concert last evening for the very first time and it was a very moving experience as folks shared their stories. I guess we really can't comprehend what war is like, unless we were actually there. To all those who served .... THANK YOU. And to all my friends up north, we have served together throughout the world and your sacrifice was just a great. To you I also say THANK YOU. We were asked at our church yesterday that, at 11:00am today, stop whatever you are doing and remember those who gave their lives, so that we can have ours today. Then, at 3:00pm, stop and pray for peace. THANK YOU to all our service men and women. I know we have veterans on this site as well and I stop to say THANK YOU as well.
  6. They're supposed to be really bad down here this year. Buddy of mine was out for mushrooms. Ended up at the Dr. Office to have one removed from his backside. (No - I didn't ask how he got one there).
  7. "Reverend Boudreaux". Isn't he on the board here somewhere
  8. I don't hear the hammers and saws yet ?
  9. Our condolences to you and your family. Great testimonial you posted for us here. Some great and long lasting memories for sure.
  10. That's right. Already have a nice spot picked out on the entertainment center for it. really looking forward to catching up with good friends I only see once a year. Looks like we'll have some new faces this year and make some new friends. Just an all around dang good/fun time. Oh yeah - that 50 incher out there ... I got my camera ready for ya. We're bringing our son-in-law this time. This will be his first ever Canadian Adventure and he's been looking forward to this since late last year. Oh yeah - no dogs on this trip.
  11. Where's your fish ????? I suppose you just caught the bait for Monique to use to catch hers ? Or is it your kids using your sign-on again.
  12. Cool. Probably before too long, the 'Offical' Roll call thread will be put up.
  13. Just as a follow-up, some lodges have maps they give their customers. Wolseley Lodge has one that marks some different areas where specific species have been caught - or a good place to start. I'd wouldn't hesitate to ask, especially if this is your first time in the area. They'll get you started and do some exploring on your own. Even as I move from one spot to another, I'll be looking around to find some others.
  14. Say Hi to Harold and Ingrid for me. We have been hitting Wolseley Lodge in September for a number of years now, but won't make it up this year. Gonna spend that time with my Dad over on the Rideau system for bass. Last September, one guy in camp landed 6 musky in one week - all within a mile or so of camp. Unfortunately, musky won't be in for another month yet. Good luck to all you guys and post a few pics. Show me what I'll be missing this year.
  15. Got that right. Marked quite a few new prop busters last year - even in areas we zoomed right through before. Know of a couple folks last year that got some new dings on their props. For pike, we typically use spinner-baits with a twister tail trailer. Cranks and such would be good too. For me, I hope the big girls are hungry this year. Would be nice to turn some of the followers into biters. But, I'm just looking to catch up with great friends, make some new ones, and just enjoy being there.
  16. Now that's trip I'd like to make someday. Thanks for sharing.
  17. Yeah. You'd think they would have all this info in the system so as to not put your through all of this ... time after time. I cross the border several times a year. I have the same experience as Art shared, it takes longer for me to get back into the states than it does for me coming into Canada. I only ever had one problem and that was getting turned around for having a bag of potates in the truck - for which I was specifically asked about. I had to turn around, go back to customs in the states, turn over the potatoes, give a form signed, and come back through. Thank goodness, this was after midnight, so there was not much of a line. Funny ... I used to take a sack of potatoes all the time and my Dad had just gone through the same border crossing not 24 hours before me ... and they never asked him about his potatoes. Overall, I've never had any problems crossing the border ... must be our dogs they like.
  18. Welcome to the board. I'll have to remember to blow the horn when I'm passing by Parry Sound next month.
  19. Just heard from Kevin/Leslie yesterday and they're coming out up there.
  20. Great to hear Kelvin ... no go catch a fish or two. All our best to your lady.
  21. Catch a big one. Hope you have a great day.
  22. Have yourself the bestest day. Happy Birthday.
  23. Funny how gas drops down my way. $3.95 this morning and $4.09 this evening. UNBELIEVABLE. Glad my neighbor said he saw one station at $4.09 and the others still at $3.95. So, a quick trip to the gas station before the others raised there. 93 bucks later - full tank.
  24. You're making me hungry with a couple of those shots. Very Cool.
