  1. Take care Rob there is nothing to add here you know how I feel and Chris will always be on my mind. You can call any time that you need
  2. Optional equipment: complete top: $1000 charger: $300 Total optional equipment price: $300 I might be reading this wrong but it looks to me that they have the top listed in the optional equipment area of teh bill but the total you give for it is only $300 not $1300 that it would be if they were to charge you again maybe they just list it in that section so that you know what options you got with the boat.
  3. Tomiko has some very nice fishing there you can find some huge eyes also. As for lodging you can not go wrong with Tomiko lake lodge Lisa is a very nice person and will treat you right the prices are very good but you will need to bring bedding and a BBQ here is a link to there place and you are with in 2 min for pickerel fishing or right off the dock works well also. This is just north of Stergeion Falls so if yer there at teh right time you can always bust down the door of the Big Boss and if yer lucky you can get to see Tj also. I have fished this lake twice and will be back again for sure. http://www.tomikolakelodge.com/products.html
  4. Lew, Dale just told me today that they will have the big girl or " Big Kahuna " has he calls her that is just a great fitting name for her at the Odyssey for all to see. I cant wait for that show this will be a great year last time the Obrian fish and now the MacNair monster
  5. Lew I bet he will have it there at the MCI booth that will bring alot of people over and be great to here the story all day long. I just hope he does not do the carp show in Ottawa if its the same weekend that would really suck if I find out I will let ya know here
  6. I bet I will have to listen to it many times over as I would get distracted when Dale was talking I would be thinking of that big girl on the end of my line and then realize that I was just listening to a story what a great recording. Once again congratz dale. The on line journal looks great also
  7. Chris you fought a long battle young man rest in peace now. All our thoughts have been sent over the years and will continue for your loved ones Rob and Nicole.
  8. RIP and our thoughts go out to the families it sure is sad to know at anytime but just before Christmas.
  9. Brad I have a 2xl and its large on me. if you dont get that one try Angling outfitters in woodstock they are $229 or you might get a deal as they will mark them down to $189
  10. Buster I have been looking at the same things and am thinking of the Showdown they have them at BPS and are alot cheaper then both above but I dont know what I would go with yet. UB you should not have posted so much info now you got me thinking thanks alot I will just blame you if I buy a vex or Mar then you can answer to my wife or atleast take it on the chin from the distance LOL. It sure is a big choice as you dont want to get the wrong thing for where you fish as for me I dont need anything more then 50' so that does help out some. heck I dont even know if we will get ice here this year.
  11. Cool vid Ron thanks for all the up dates you put together
  12. gotta be eyes or pike if we are in a good area for some big ones. I dont eat fis hso I like to chase the bigger ones. But anything is better then sitting at home watching the cold out there.
  13. Well said forest why not the first time
  14. Yep that aint no shirtless fishing there GCD I thought you would not stop to that level but you sure got my blood boiling on this stay in the sunny flat water and dont comment on these threads if you have nothing good to say click the next warm water thread and move on. As for Forest you have got to be joking that you need all them pics give your head a shake and think about it this is a huge fish and if they are in clam water it is still alot of work to get the measurements. Its comments from you guys that keep alot of people from posting big fish here and other boards I love this board and it sucks to read crap like what you two had to say, but just close your mouth if you have nothing good to say move over to another board where they act that way this place was not like this years ago and it was getting better so why not just keep the crap in your mouth or move to the next post. As for this fish I have already told him my thoughts OMG what a great fish and I will not second guess this fella for this catch it is just a beast. Sorry for my rant but this is crap what has been said and I hope you guys can learn for next time to not judge so fast or maybe all them MONSTER fish you post will have a tape and the actual measurements with them.
  15. lotsa nice pics there getting me excited for ice up now
  16. Happy Bday Lew hope ya had a good one.
  17. Peter I dont know what that would be like but as so many here have said and I can see that you already know just stay strong and be there for him. I hope all works out for you and your son I too would be in the same boat as you are right now with trying to figure out what to do next. Be honest and up front I guess would be my only two things to add. Good luck Mike
  18. Miss the race no we would not all set sitting eating nacho chips and then the good Ol Express view kicks out thanks to mother nature we have some snow around and no RACE WHAT THE yep its been two hours and no race this sucks.
  19. thanks for the links they helped out I still dont know what I will get if I get something but these do look good for the $$$
  20. anyone else have some input on this unit? I was thinking of looking into it this one for this winter
  21. Why not use a elistic band on them? just attach it to your braid line then place the band in the clip it will hold we use it here for musky hunting if running braid line on the boards.
  22. congratz on a great day out there will you have some very nice looking musky
  23. Just awesome Jim I remember that last trip it was a good read just like this you do your dad proud.
  24. I have enough for 6 rod to be run from my boat and one more if needed from the back like Lew has but in this pic you can see the Down Easter it is mounted on a 90 degree bend that is bolted to a big jon base this is for my down rods and the other two holders are big jon 7 position holders they work great for playner boards this way you can run 2 rods on the boards and one on the boat it makes it easy to run 6 rods from the boat. I alsowent with the big jon bases so that when I am done fishing or out pickerel fishing I can take teh big holders off and am just left with 2 4" bases on each side not 2-3 feet of track this has worked out very well for us this year I am glad I spent the extra $$$ for them it was some of the best $$$ I have spent on a boat to date. I also have a bungee cord t ohelp keep the rods in the holder when I am fishing them streight out the sides and when working on a fish at boat side I will put it throught the net to hold it to the boat that will save me some more $$$ with not loosing it.
