WOW this is getting weired glad I am not able to make it this year our Can-Am is the same weekend each year here on LSC it shure is a blast for the guys and girls that can not make the trip north. Well all the ladies that have been on my boat or others I have been on have all been big enough to hang there butt over the edge of the boat with out any complaints I know alot of ladies who have done this and most are not afraid of being out in the woods either. Now if there is a city girl that needs to run to shore I dont know what I would do I am not a jerk about it but when were 8 miles out with 4 or more rods out and painer boards thats alot of work to just reel everything in to head back to shore and take a break. I did know one that could re fill a beer bottle???

Yes you can still cross under the 401 that is not shut down from what we saw but I think it might be later when they start to rip out the over pass mid june. Will try and remember to update this for people heading this way

Hey all I just wanted to post that the West bound exit for Belle River road is now closed and will be most of the summer due to construction on the 401 you would be best to get off in Tilbury at exit 56 and head west there is also a good gas station there the Pilot truck stop I have not had any problems with the gas there They also have Sub Way in case you forgot a snack for on the water. Head west until you hit Belle River Rd. and turn right this will get you right into Belle River. Hope this helps some one out if you know of someone coming down this way please let them know.

The best game I have ever saw for kiddies and keeps your work down also. For the Belle River Chapter of Muskies Canada we do a fishing clinic and help out with two different fishing derbys (one for many years and just added another this year) they are held at the Belle River boat launch and marina there is a splash pad there for the kiddies to get wet a beach and tipical park area. The best thing is there are alot of HUGE trees that shelter you from the sun as in the past years we have had some hot days last year it was over 90 in the am and looking to be a bad day but with the shade and water it saved everyone. Like Brian said keep it about the kiddies and think of them when doing stuff just because you are not having fun or it does not interest you DO IT ANY WAY and then look into there eyes you will receive the best gift from the gleam they will have. One thing fish a bit then chase frogs or play a bit then back to fishing let them dictate what you are doing that day as its there day. The will remember it for the rest of there lives. Bring lots of drinks for everyone as many will for get this stuff.

Well last year I bought a 565 and it has been a great unit for me I have not had any problems with it at all I wanted color but for what I wanted to spend I got alot better gray scale I had always liked eagle before this one but I love this hummingbird and will look into another for the bow of the boat either this or next year.

Welcome aboard I have fished agnew lake and angness river there are some great places along there. I also fished Michales bay and south baymouth great place to live you should like it here.

Well here in the trolling world we will be running 5" and 6 1/4" woodies on LSC I know I will have a special pearch on its a amazing color for me and many others along with some browns and other green color lures small is usually better this time of year but you have to let the fish tell ya what they want last season I had 50.25 hours in for the season before I banged one out and she was my PB 50 1/4". Starting shallow maybe 8' here and working to 12' maybe 14' if we dont contact anything we will be looking for new weeds that are holding pearch and other bait fish. Its key on a big lake like this with little structure to find the bait if you do you will find the musky are not far behind. We will be running the lures up high in the morning on the boards and hope to contact some fish to let us know where they are. This time of year on the big open water is tricky last year we found out they were late with the spawn by 2 weeks for most fish here on LSC I dont think they are that late this year. If I did not have a boat full I would be casting some spots I have marked out and trying there but I think they might be holding late spawners so I will give it another week or two depending how the reports are from what I have heard they have been catching some big girls all spawned out and males still milking so that is a good sigh that the big girls are done lets just hope.

Lew thats just awesome to have a pic like that one of my favorite pics is my Nanny and Grampy together when he is heading off for WWII that pic just brings tears to your eyes when you see it knowing the rest of the story. Shaun Rickard love the shows he does they bring it back to reality Dave (the maniac) Mercer his show just reminds me of how I always was out there off the wall and full of fun at all times (manI need to find that again) Jim Saric this has to be the best Musky only show out there no jumpy camera or long talks of sponsers its all about the fishing.

Our thoughts have been with the family since I heard it on Monday when am 800 reported that they had two in critical condition then later she passed this is very hard for alot of us down here with smaller boats even though I bought a nice bigger boat that is wide and stable it is still not safe when these goofs come across the lake watching there GPS not the water. here is my rant I posted on our local board In June of 2006 it was almost my family who was sank by some jerk who did not know enough and sent waves crashing over my boat when we were trying to head out from Deerbrook ( still know what that boat looks like) and then last year another jerk did the same thing to us and two other boats when we were heading out from the light house it was just a young guy early 20's and there was alot of people on that boat what is it with these people who dont care who they KILL I see it all to often they go right by you looking at the GPS and not giving a crap for the others out there in our smaller boats. I hope that they find the dude that did this and sting them behind a boat this is just not acceptable for this to happen its a very sad day for us all that we can not go fishing with the family with out having to worry about this stuff. Sorry for the rant but this is to close to home for me and I hope others will share there feelings on this. P.S. this is just one other reason we need the OPP and Coast guard out there THANK YOU to all who helped in the recovery and rescue.

for many years that is what we would do put the 14' on top of the pick topper it is easly done you will need to mount a 4X4 at the back of the SUV so that you can rest to front of the boat on it then like UB said place another up front then its all armstrong power from there as long as you can lift it you can haul it sorry no pics from back then but it does make it way easy to get into the bush. One thing remember to not drive on the 400 series to fast and tie it down good

Now he done it had to bring out the fish porn again I think he is upset that people leave here from one side of a lake to fish the same fish that are closed. One answer I have is that they might have a hug population over there and feel that the fish that are caught will not make a difference to the over all health of the population of bass in lake O or earie? One thing I know is that for musky in the south they have no closed season as all the fish will not reproduce so there is no harm in fishing them during spawn as there will not be any. I know where Tj has his camp there is no closed season as Dad and I would fish bass on may 24 up there and there is alot of them smallies up that way.

Dang Pete I am glad to here your still going strong with it and cant wait to get you down this way to collect on the shopping spree and maybe get some toothy critters to go with it. As for all the others keep up the good work I know its hard and hope ya all pull through its been many moons for me since I had a smoke and do some times get the urge no and again the wife has also been smoke free for 9 years this month.

I can see the point of getting a name for big box stores but a tackle store you would hope you are getting some one who cares about what they are doing I would hope that the people that just have it as a part time job are doing it for the love of talking fishing or outdoors and would give 110% for the customer if I call a big box yes I get a name and dont trust that they have a clue at all. Joey sorry to here this happened at least it was only 15min drive a buddy of mine took the 2+ hour dive to royal distributing to find out they were out of the tires he had ordered go figure.
