BOQ Eh? That would be interesting a little far for one day but I might get away for a weekend heck that could just work out I would love to have some fun with them eyes up that way with the lack of eye fishing we have had here the last few years I would love to get into some nice big girls.

Nice report Wayne sorry to here of the trouble at least you guys made it home safe and sound and had some fun on the water were still waiting for good ice here I guess that is one down fall of the SW corner of Ontario not a heck of alot of ice fishing to be done in the last few years.

The 14th of Feb is a hard sell to get away from here I would also be interested in a trip some where on another weekend. Brad if we ever get ice here we can get into some good eyes.

I like the idea and might just have to go with that one it would be easy to set up. My daughter and I got out today for a bit I did not bring the finder but brought the Fish T.V. it was a blast to watch the perch and blue gill swimming around but no takers just one and a miss still a blast to watch them the water was very dirty with 1' being the best we could see good. the lights on the Camera are bright and make the jig almost glow down there and if it was 4-6" away from the camera the flash was like having you spoon out in the bright sun light of summer.

I might show up this year but not sure yet Brad try calling Angling Outfitters they are great there I would wait for the London show the Alfa HH suits last year were around $220 or so and the Delta was $189 but its now $220 at his store. Jive them a call he will always treat everyone very nice.

I went up to Angling Outfitters last week we get there I wanted to get a fish finder and maybe a GPS also well with good salesman ship I left with a new Lawerence 522c GPS combo now that I have it I need to make something to carry it for the winter I just got done messing around and have it all tucked away in a 16" tool box it fits in just nice heck we had some leftover memory foam from our bed so I padded the box with it and hope it will also keep some of the cold off the battery. My only problem is what to do with the transducer? I have a pic of what I want to do with it and that is mount it on the front of the box it will be just held on with wing nuts so I can take it off when moving or heading home then under the transducer I would place a ziploc freezer bag with antifreeze in it so that I dont have to place the transducer in the hole and I can also look at the bottom at new spots before I cut a hole. Any thought on other ways to mount it better then this? thanks Mike

Well its been said here many time but i will say it again rod goes into the water if the fish is running like that you would be surprised at how sharp the ice is around a hole and will nick or cut the line in a hear beat that is why when we use tip ups we will hold the line over to the side away from the running fish. Good luck this season maybe you can meet up wit hher again.

we took the kids and a kids friend out for some bowling drinks and pizza and back home for the JR game for the wife and kids it was board games that was a shock as we just bought them a Wii for Christmas I dont understand so I just keep my mouth shut and was happy I could watch the game in HD and not lowD 20" LOL the funny part was I had the T.V. ready to switch over for Criminal minds that started at 12am well I can tell you bell has there time set to time square because the kids were doing the countdown and just as it hit 1sec left we were watching CM I just laughed my arse off the girls were confused and everyone but me thought I had the remote it was a great night none the less. Good game that was a amazing game I think I will be watching it again it replays in HD at 11 or 12 I forget but it is worth the watch for sure not just because we won but it was a great game. Nothing beats watching the kids play they know what the game is all about.

I bought the Frebil one as it has mesh on one end and also a very nice measuring tape in BIG numbers I only have used it for tired musky so that they can lay in it nice and calm if I think they are gonna take a long time to revive and I am by myself it sure does come in handy for that application.

Hey Brad I forget the name of the stuff but a guy in Sudbury makes his own coating and sells it the guys here love it and buy it by the case from him he just sends it down here. Check Ramikos they might know who I am talking about if I find the name I will send it to ya but for now I draw a blank.

Nice map Rick thanks I just book marked it I know it will come in handy at times. I am lucky and still have the power but the winds are still howling and ya never know what will happen next.

I just got back inside I had to walk the hood to get my blue box back my fishing pail and the papers that were inside of the box I'm lucky that recycling came Friday if not there would have been alot of papers to pick up. I also have 6" of water in the back yard that has already come up into the shed Oh well not much ya can do I am just happy and feel lucky that its only 6" and not 1'. Hope everyone stays safe and off the little ice we have I know I dont have any snow left here after yesterday and at noon yesterday the Thames was up 2-3' here in chatham play safe everyone.

Here I thought I could sleep in today but Oh no I was woken up buy what I thought was a truck running into the house bit it was only the wind ripping off the awning from the front window dang she is windy here also Outlaw and are you sure its only 100kph not mph? dang well time to start the day.

Thanks Ron is what the wife would be saying if she knew where I got my idea from I just got back from Angling outfitters after droping some $$$ I am home with a 522c finder and will be on the look out for my box and mounting crap to make my travel case. I was also told to try and not put the transducer down the hole rather make another hole of place it in a bag with antifreeze and just place it on the ice. Who knows what I am going to do I know I dont but cant wait to get it done and now we need some safe ice again.

that is a nice unit I was thinking of getting it for the ice it has alot of great features on it I know you will like it I bought a bird two years ago and love it that is why I am looking at getting the 383c portable I have always used gray scale and love them you should and will not have any trouble.

Ron can catch fish when did that happen? Merry Christmas Ron. I think I will look at the 383c a little closer now as it comes with the battery charger and case I guess I need a ice ducer but that's not much to add on. Thanks for the replies everyone.

I know so have been using them from the board I was wondering how many are doing it? I was looking at a gray scal but am now going to get either a flasher or a color sonar/flasher with GPS combo in color I was looking at the huminbird 383C portable or Lowerance X67c. I have received some PM's about other units I just want to get as much info as possible as I dont want to jump on the wrong machine.

We usually hit the stores but today we did not go out today well unless ya call a box of Tim bits going out. I have been shopping on line for a flasher or other unit like the huminbird 383c portable or who knows what all I know is I have been driving myself nuts with all this looking time to buy now
