  1. You can get longer shackels, but over time they will just let your leafs sag even more. I would look at getting a leaf added (shot or long, up to you depending on your preferences), as well as a .5" or 1" lift shackle. add-a-Leaf for the load, shackle for the lift. They work great in combination.
  2. I see most of the west tribs on my daily train ride from Burlington to downtown Toronto and back. They are all pretty much blown.
  3. Nice, glad you posted this Burtess so I didn't have to. Looking to get front windows done. I might even splurge and get the back done darker.
  4. Here's where I try to spend as little time as possible.
  5. I run a downsized catfish rig on a 6' rod with 10lb braid and 4-6lb leader. 1/2oz egg sinker and bead on the braid, followed by a ball-bearing swivel. 6-8" leader and a #1 Mustad baitholder or #2 Gamakatsu octopus hook. Most of the creeks are running a bit fast this time of year to be bottom/still fishing with a float. Also, don't listen to the fear mongers like dave524. It's your right to fish for in-season species where legally allowed. As long as you're not parading around a 13ft rod and pretty little roe bags, no one is going to bother you. Edited to add: Forgot the most important part: a big fat juicy nightcrawler on that hook!
  6. Hey Steve, no credit to the camera man? I'll be sure to remember that when I'm snapping pics of your next PB
  7. I'm sure it's self explanatory but would you mind elaborating on this?
  8. For anyone interested, here are the Fault Determination Rules. They are Government regulated and all insurance companies apply them to determine fault. Also, a quote from the IBC on how charges affect fault. http://www.ibc.ca/en...ation-Rules.pdf
  9. That's not a fair comparison. The BPS master catalog prices are in USD. Lebaron prices are CAD.
  10. Good luck with your BPS baitcaster. Let us know how smooth it is when the pound of grease they lubed up the gears with ends up all over the inside of the reel. At least BPS is good with returns of their own products. Did anyone notice if they have restocked the Pro Qualifier gore-Tex suits? All the bibs left over were 2xl, 3xl or small. Need the blue in a large.
  11. You should get her to activate them and see if you can hear the motor making any kind of noise. that should narrow it down to a couple options.
  12. I prefer not to play with hackers and lag-switchers, therefore I play on the 360. The only games I buy for the PS3 are exclusives like KZ, MGS, Gran Turismo. Honestly, I haven't bought a game for the PS3 in over a year, it's only ever used for watching blu-rays now.
  13. Here's the link to their forum on BFB. http://www.bigfatbass.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=185
  14. You might have some company, as this was my plan as well!
  15. Towing will not be your problem. Stopping, the most important part, will be. That being said I know someone who towed a 17ft Lund with a lumina. I think it only cost him one transmission.
  16. Literally one drop of oil is all I put in mine, and that is good for the whole season. During the winter months I will take them out and soak them in lighter fluid, dry, and add a drop of oil. (make sure to remove the seal before soaking, as they are synthetic). The balls are ceramic hybrid, so they will never corrode.
  17. riverfisher is right, and the Boca Orange Seal are pretty well the best bearings you can get. I have them for my Calcutta TE100GT spool and they cast a country mile with a nice light lube.

  19. I'm also one who hopes 832 lives up to it's hype. At $25 for 150yds I also hope it lasts longer than Power Pro.
  20. I've used networx for years. They're now Envision Networks. http://www.envisionnetworks.ca/
  21. It's got some work cut out for it. We took a drive out that way on the weekend and stopped at Port Maitland. Ice out on Erie as far as I could see.
  22. Don't expect any deals on rods, unless you want Bass Pro crap. To get any deal on a reel other than Bass Pro/Browning, you'll have to trade in an old one.
  23. Shimano makes a 7' medium 2 pc. Compre. Comes with a lifetime warranty for under $150.
  24. Same with my ZR2 Blazer with big 31" spare hanging off the back.
  25. Been there, done that. Visa reversed the charges in less than 48 hours. There is a proper way to bill a credit card over the phone, and entering the number into your debit machine is NOT it! Protecting yourself is fine, but not at the expense of customer service.
