  1. Nice man! I picked up a bunch of Duo Realis Pencil 85's a few weeks ago.. Everything seems to like them (bass, pike, whatever).. Really nice topwater bait that casts a mile I'll have to look into their jerk baits.
  2. I drift the upper 'Geen as well Some really nice water up there.
  3. Lots of great water on the 'Geen away from the holigans. One of my fav rivers to fish actually.
  4. Man that's killer. Time to get my pilots license! (ok not really, but think of the possibilities!)
  5. Stop fishing at the dam, lol.
  6. You're correct Mike. Everyone should head to the Saugeen instead.
  7. Still lots of great places to fish, you just need to find them

I don't think I've run a fly less then 30in (Usually a lot longer then that) kings and the rest of the fish out there don't seem to mind, lol.
  9. If I was going to spend some decent $$$ on a boat, there's no way I'd store it outside, lol.
  10. I don't like the pass either, so I don't fish there, lol.
  11. You may not like the pass, but don't think the money just lines the city pockets. Township of Essa has been extremely generous to the Nottawasaga Steelheaders, that money goes towards stream rehab, fish studies, etc.

The brand of fly isn't a deal breaker if you ask me.. If I can remember correctly we were running dipsys at a #3 back 75.

Make sure you're not running too shallow. Early morning/evening kings that are staging aren't very deep at all in the water column. We did good with SD/Atomik fly combos.
  14. If you want to fish Essa you'll need a Essa township pass. http://www.essatownship.on.ca/EconomicDevelopment/FishingAccessPasses/index.htm
  15. Now that looks like fun!
  16. That's going to be a giant otter with teeth marks like that! I'd guess big laker/pike
  17. You've never tried braid? If so you're missing out.
  18. Nice! What were the measurements on those brutes?
  19. Love Nanofil, but it's got zero abrasion resistance. Ice in your guides will rip it apart, as will any rock, zebra mussel etc etc. That being said there's a time and a place for everything and in certain circumstances it outshines anything else on the market.
  20. It was a joke man, come on, lol! You ready for all the crazy Italians to come up from the city during hunting season??? :)
  21. I think you should spend some more time on the riverbanks during salmon season.
  22. Sorry man, I've seen to many of them on the Pine zipping fish, filleting them and throwing the rest into the woods Backpacks LOADED with fish... disgusting.
  23. Wow that thing is a beast!!!!
  24. Go down to Port Hope, find some guys from Quebec or some guys from eastern Europe, lol.. The next time they gank a big female with a marshmellow and a treble and are filleting it on the side of the bank ask to keep the roe, they won't want it.
  25. LOL yeah pretty much.
