Nice man! I picked up a bunch of Duo Realis Pencil 85's a few weeks ago.. Everything seems to like them (bass, pike, whatever).. Really nice topwater bait that casts a mile
I'll have to look into their jerk baits.
You may not like the pass, but don't think the money just lines the city pockets. Township of Essa has been extremely generous to the Nottawasaga Steelheaders, that money goes towards stream rehab, fish studies, etc.
Make sure you're not running too shallow. Early morning/evening kings that are staging aren't very deep at all in the water column. We did good with SD/Atomik fly combos.
Love Nanofil, but it's got zero abrasion resistance. Ice in your guides will rip it apart, as will any rock, zebra mussel etc etc. That being said there's a time and a place for everything and in certain circumstances it outshines anything else on the market.
Sorry man, I've seen to many of them on the Pine zipping fish, filleting them and throwing the rest into the woods Backpacks LOADED with fish... disgusting.
Go down to Port Hope, find some guys from Quebec or some guys from eastern Europe, lol.. The next time they gank a big female with a marshmellow and a treble and are filleting it on the side of the bank ask to keep the roe, they won't want it.
