  1. We had a visit from two CO's on White Otter probably 20 mins after we were done unpacking. I've also had them visit me out on Nipigon, lol!
  2. Nice carp, but I think your 'weigh scale' might be a bit faulty
  3. Good deal, always nice to have a spare.
  4. Perfect day to be out on Simcoe! Good job man!
  5. Slammed the crappies lastnight! Round #2 tonight, this time with mom in the boat!

    Oh Canada

I was going to ask, is that a reflection or a hole in the flag? LOL!! Good capture.
  7. How many trolling motor fatalities have their been on the 401? LOL!! Some of the scenarios you guys dream up are hilarious.
  8. I run Okuma Convectors on my dipsy setups... No complaints with them either, but they haven't tied into even close to the amount of fish I've taken off riggers, lol. I'm still running some old Fenwick custom fibreglass rods and a old Mitchell 782 Mooching reel as well! Rods could use a re-wrap but they beat pool cues any day of the week.
  9. My oldman has been using the same Sealines 47H's since I was a little kid. I still use them to this day, lol! Love those things. Don't know if the quality is the same between those late 70's/early 80's reels to what you'd get today, but those things have been bulletproof.
  10. Diawas or some Okumas.. Cheap and do the job.
  11. OP, you're making this a lot more complicated then it really is.. Unless it's dead calm (or you're anchored like Terry mentioned), marking your bait like you would through the ice can be a challenge. What you need to do is stay intouch with the bottom and cover some water. I'd worry more about marking fish, then my bait.. Find the fish, pound the bottom, you'll get bit.
  12. Gotta love catching them in the act. I hope you laid a beating on him.
  13. Forgot the jumbos!
  14. You didn't move out west for the $$$$?
  15. I think I had two good nights to shoot, the rest were very overcast.
  16. I think those shots were taken around 12:30am or so...
  17. Blackouts definitely get people off the couch We could use one for a few days once a year like mentioned above, lol.
  18. Simcoe is just fine the way it is... Great laker/whitie/smallmouth fishery, along with pike and largies... Can't really complain about that.
  19. A few jig heads and some shrimp is all you'll really need. Steal the shrimp from the all you can eat table
  20. Should have stayed out in the lake!
  21. Nice fish Lew!
  22. At the time I was working IT Operations for Stelco out of Jackson Square (24th floor)... **** pretty much hit the fan, had to run down to the data center and gracefully shut down all the non essential servers, storage arrays, SANs etc etc.. Pretty crazy.
  23. Snap for ease of changing up... Lakers aren't picky.
  24. Run what you do steelheading... 4-6lb Drennan or Phantom 5.6 or 6.6 is what I run if I'm jigging out on SImcoe. No need to go crazy.
  25. Bluezone is out a bit further then that. Congrats on a good day.
