  1. Awesome! Love shore fishing the Clearwater area, you never know what you're going to end up with. How are the charter rates down there these days?
  2. If you're all within the same cell you might be able to move it around. Camper might be tough if you're in Alaska, but I'm sure that feature is coming.
  3. Dave, that place is just unreal. I love these updates! You getting Starlink up there for internet?
  4. Yup, I remember when Jordan was always full of ice fishermen come winter.
  5. Looks like you don't even need a safety, just the RIV form and proper documentation. https://www.ontario.ca/page/register-trailer#section-4
  6. Oh they know the rules, that's why they're out there trying to collect tax dollars, lol. Funny thing is they didn't ask me for anything else. So much for boater safety and all that
  7. You don't need a bill of sale, all you need is the Transport Canada vessel registration and your pleasurecraft ID. All they are looking for is a discrepancy between who OWNS the boat currently and who it's registered to. And this is nothing more then making sure the tax was paid with the transfer of ownership. That's it. Had a long convo with the OPP in HH about this last year.
  8. Private sale (Michigan) Separate receipts for trailer, boat, motor. Called insurance before we picked it up to made sure the trailer was added to the policy, used our current trailer plates for the ride home. Is NY a non title state? Michigan is, so we got a signed document from the bank stating all liens were paid off. Paid the tax at the border, got the trailer safety when we got back, simple process.
  9. How's the topwater bite for them?
  10. Sad all around. Being out in the middle of a lake, at night with zero lights on is asking for problems. That's just carelessness. If there's a lawsuit, I won't be surprised if it's against the owner of the boat who got hit by not following the laws in place for navigation lighting.
  11. That will make quick work of the pedals lol!
  12. That's what I'm running now. Also have another pair of older Freestones as backups. Another pro tip. Sheet metal screws for studs in your wading boots
  13. Waders and breathable shouldn't be used in the same sentence. I don't care which set of Simms you get, you're going to sweat if you do any sort of hiking. That being said, Simms are all I've ever had. Sent them back a few times for repairs and no issues. Neoprenes for when it gets super cold out. And you definitely want to layer.. 1. Polypropylene base layer 2. Fleece/wool second layer 3. Your waders. Absolutely no cotton anywhere. Get a set of ragwool/alpaca mitts to keep your hands toasty even if they get wet.
  14. I'd find the deep weed edges and start there. I'll assume the boat you're renting has a fish finder?
  15. Toss it in a vice and get is as straight as possible. Replacement shouldn't be very expensive if you've gotta go that route.
  16. Topwater smallie bite should almost be in full swing right now. Won't last very long though.
  17. Don't believe so as it's not listed in either the East or West UNO districts of Timiskaming. It's also now apart of Temiskaming Shores.
  18. I'd fish the weed edges in the evening for crappie. Little stuff like Lunker City Fin-S plastics tossed to the edge and worked back as been deadly for me. You'll also find crappies pushing bait fish up against the edges and possibly seeing swirls on the surface. The action is usually hot and heavy then it just comes to a complete stop. Small body baits should also work well. I find edges in 12-15ft with access to deeper water are usually the best in the waters I fish.
  19. Do yourself a favour and get EZLube hubs. I'll never have another trailer without them.
