  1. Thermal hut makes a huge difference along with making sure it's sealed up with snow if possible.
  2. Have you tried wearing latex gloves under the Under Armour gloves? It's cheap and it will at least let you keep your sense of feel without worrying about getting wet.
  3. I know a bunch of guys use Stanleys ice off paste with their float setups.
  4. Canuck2fan, I wish I was at that garage sale!
  5. Suffix 832 is garbage when it's warm out, god I hate that stuff. I can't even imagine using it on the ice. I'd probably try to stick my head in the hole and drown myself if that was the only line available.
  6. Should have packed it up after that! lol! I hate hitting a fish on the first drift.
  7. You can never have enough Xmas lights
  8. Asking for stores that stock this stuff is like asking for secret fishing holes :) I ordered all my stuff directly from Lunker City, less of a hassle. I've found a few places, but none of them seem to carry the stuff I want.
  9. http://stcroixrods.com/products/ice/premier-ice-rods
  10. St.Croix makes a nice ice rod, get the M/H 32 or 36in model. Perfect for lakers. I use a custom made one from the top section of a GLX float rod, lol.
  11. Really? Wow, you sure it wasn't Nanofil? LOL! I've had Fireline shred, but not to the point of it ever breaking. Even with loads of ice in my guides.
  12. High wattage unit, full colour 5in screen, yeah it doesn't like batteries, lol! It also doubles as the graph I use on the bow of the boat hooked up to the US2 on my Terrova during the softwater season. To me its a perfect compromise.
  13. If you haven't been to Shandras, I suggest you make a point of it the next time you're around Mississauga. It's so frigging good, lol!
  14. It's an old discontinued model, but it works great and you could probably pick one up super cheap.
  15. You gotta remember that these features are great, but they eat battery.. My 5000W HB 747C will give me maybe a day and a half on the ice on a full charge (This is why I carry two batteries with me all the time)..
  16. A simple DNs change will get you US Netflix, and it's free As for BEV vs Rogers, Bell all day long. Lots of ways to get cheap TV these days.
  17. Fireline Crystal. 6lb on all my ice setups, 6lb on my centerpin.
  18. You can see everything with a graph. I can mark a XXXS swivel in 130ft of water Humminbird for sure if you just wanna turn it on and go without worrying about 1 million settings, lol.
  19. Have you considered a graph instead? A lot more versatile if you plan on using it during the soft water months.
