  1. Those are sweet. From where I live to boot. I don't collect decoys (yet), I just use them. Wait, maybe that is collecting? Anyhow, I waterfowl hunt on the St. Lawrence and grew up in the county. If what you are trying to do is identify the birds check with the Duck Unlimited site http://www.ducks.org/hunting/waterfowl-id
  2. I agree 100%. I find it funny how people argue about buying Canadian, then go to another country to buy stuff? This is exactly why the manufaturing is overseas. I too get chastised for driving a Honda. My reply is always "It's built in Ontario, bought in Brockville, you can't get more local than that". I'd rather spend my money locally that way there is a better chance of them coming to me next time they want to purchase. I say this not only as a business owner, but for everyone out there that has a job. To keep local businesses you have to shop those local businesses, your job is included in this. As for retailers having lower prices because of the HST, I am confused by this. The product is not any cheaper. If anything I now have to spend more money to get the product here, there is no difference in price to the consumer.
  3. I'm in the midst of moving into a new location for my business. The new spot has a heat pump. I have no experience with them, but am piqued by it. I have it turned down right now and it is still nice and warm in there. The only thing I was told is it won't give quick heat like forced air, so you have to be patient.
  4. Got some prices for you. 10x10 $40.00, 10x20 $80.00, 20x20 $160.00. They are all the dark colour.
  5. I'll check it out tomorrow for you Gerritt. Seeing Terry's picture gave me an idea as well. Do an olive colour base. Then get some different colour paint balls and have at it!!! Just don't tell the girlfriend your plans.
  6. I know for a fact that the Army Surplus down the road from me has some. It's the dark colour. I forget the size. I think it's around $40.00 I'd have to check. I thought about using it on my boat as a blind for duck hunting, but it didn't look like it would hold up. For a room though it would be great. I think it's a great idea, just glad it's not my room.
  7. Just found out about it today when I got my Outdoor Canada Mag with a coupon for $10.00 off entry. Too bad it's two weeks late?
  8. I would start to look at your mom and pop hardware stores then go from there. Maybe an army surplus as well. Just remember your chum could do this to you, making you not so cool, but still laid back
  9. RIP Pudge, I'll never forget you.

  10. That's so cool!!! Hard to tell who had more fun though, big smiles all around. I wish I could get a hold of a Dave Mercer bobble head. I never seem to be in the right place at the right time....
  11. Wow that is a nice buck!!!! Way to go. Wayne I'm jealous of all the wildlife you get to see around your place. The only wildlife down here is packs of kids and the odd "cougar".
  12. He's lucky he only got a year. Had the judge "waited for the ink to dry" it would probably have been more. I hope it does not get dropped. Firearms are not something to be played with. I don't care what his intentions were. He should also have his firearms removed and a ban on all firearms for at least five years. All I know is what I have read here. People need to be held accountable for their actions. I wonder how many times he got away with it?
  13. I've got an '08 75 and love it. Never given me any trouble. I've heard problems with all motors, I think a lot of it has to do with how they are treated? An example is I was a cottage this summer and pulled up to put the boat in and there was another guy there crapping on me about the e-tecs as he's had nothing but problems. He then proceeded to take off into the shallow bay with the motor down and brown silt coming out of the pee hole. Hmm I know why you are having problems?
  14. What a cow!!!! Where did you catch that? I'm guessing not anywhere in Canada?
  15. 7lbs 2 oz Smallie on the St. lawrence river a few years ago. ^lbs 5 oz largie on a secret lake a bit north a couple of years ago. Now I'm lucky if I catch a bass that is bigger than my lure.....
  16. If it were me, I'd go with this offer.
  17. I'm not from sudbury. I drove past that black hole lots when I would go out west. Then about 10 years ago I went to visit and was amazed at how green it was,I couldn't believe the work they had done. I really enjoyed it there. The outdoors is great. I was also hanging with a "special" friend so that may have had something to do with it as well?
  18. I'm getting dizzy just looking at that. I'm nervous enough pulling my trailer here in town with all the idiots, I don't think my heart or head could handle driving that even without?
  19. Don't leave us hanging, you gotta tell us the story!
  20. Wow that sounds exactly like a small lake that our hunt camp is at. Used to be a gorgeous place to camp out on a point. Over the last couple of years the same groups of people have been coming to it and trashing it. By the sounds of what was left, I would swear it was the same place. We have also noticed while we have been out fishing that they have left a raging bonfire at the site while they go home. I feel lucky that we were there to put the fire out more than once, because of what could have happened. It's sad to see people do this, I wish they would have better respect but I guess that is asking too much?
  21. My girlfriend and i also fish out of Native Watercraft. we have the basic Ultimate 12 and 9. Very stable and lot's of room. The "lawn chair" is unbelievably comfortable. Not the kind of kayak you can roll, but very easy to use.
  22. My bird has always been like this as well. I didn't feel comfortable using my sonar with the motor turned off. To ease my mind I added another battery. I just figured I had an old sonar and it was power hungry and normal?
  23. Yup the fishing boats drifting had the right of way. Vessel with power must give way. I never realized that you could not fish in a "channel" but it's ok to wake board there?????? As for the sailboats, they do the same thing here blocking me and pushing me to the wall as close as possible and then some. I get a kick out of them when they want to prove their point of right of way and take on a steam freighter. A few have been run down because they don't understand that those things aren't going to move at a moments notice.
  24. While i see this as kids being kids. I think it's too late to have a heart to heart with this kid. Should have been done a long time ago to teach him respect and values. It's a tough call because it is your neighbors. BUT the fact of the matter is he shot a firearm into your house. This is 100% a police call, I don't care who it is. Yes it was only a bb, but it can still do some major damage. What if the kid figures he can get away with this gun and how easy it is, then he finds a more powerful gun? I hope the police scared the crap out of him to straighten him out.
  25. I have led lights on my trailer. I do tow in the snow and have never had a problem with build up. Just a reference not argueing as I can see it happening. I have a bad habbit of forgetting to unplug my lights when I put the trailer in the drink. I do not miss having to carry spare bulbs and fuses because guaranteed I would be blowing something every trip. Haven't had to rplace anything since I switched. Another plus is having lights on the trailer to make it easier to load when there is total darkness at the ramp. It's like going up a runway for boats.
