Snowmobile accident, around 6th line of Innisfil
ecmilley replied to Shelley Cooper's topic in General Discussion
great tip!!! never assume that the person whose tracks your following knew where they were going always travel slower on fresh snow covered lakes even 50 km/h on a pressure crack can give you severe injurys and destroy the machine, and use the buddy system never ride the lakes alone -
As far as I'am concerned it's more Bull I already recycle and use cfl througout my house and wouldn't go out of my way to turn extra lights off at anytime of the day

I can let you have my 03 seirra 1500 z71 extentended cab 4x4 for 18000 if you want it has 125000 km i really don't have much use for it anymore. 4.8l v-8 fuel tank holds 92 litres of fuel and I average 725 to a tank hwy running about 550-600 pulling a lund or sled trailer

I would say vernon, leave my walleye alone While Sturgeon lake can be quite productive for eyes and ski's it does have a fair amount boat traffic, which can ruin a days enjoyment in a smaller boat. You won't have many problems connecting with fish as this lake offers every conciveable kind of stucture possible for eye's bass and skis (and every type of technique) If your have children and you are also bringing them then sturgeon is a great place to hone there fishin skills with panfish everywhere and ready to attack the first offered worm. and lastly no matter where you stay on sturgeon lake, fuel, food, bait and beer is available within 10-15 minutes, (lindsay, fenelon falls and bobcaygeon)

The only charity i give to is the salvation army, as far as i am concerned they actually help people. As for school fundraising that's a tough call, i do get tired of the door knockers and getting hasseled outside the beer/liqour store, ct and the grocery store, but i am an adult an simple NO suffices without causing me any problems. I remember doing skate-a-thons and run-o-thons and various other charitable events as a kid for heart and stroke, terry fox and such and they were good causes to get involved in, but for the most part i don't remember having to fund raise for the school to play hockey or go on a trip, usualy paid out of my own pockets (ok my parents pockets) to do these activities. I pay enough taxes now, where does all the money go? it just seems like everytime the goverment increases funding the teachers then the caretakers go on strike to claim the extra funds anyway.

I use them on my windlass tip-ups let the wind jig them with a big fat minnow on the bottom get pretty good success for eyes

As a mechanic i could make up words, as a service manager i have to hold those same words back and i am usually succesful, not into religion and try to watch my mouth around the kids but sometimes it happens, but if my cussing is offending you then move your spot, get out of my boat, out of my house and get away from my property, i have every right to talk in any manner i choose on the lake or around my property. Tired of walking around on eggshells worrying about offending people

For and against Water separator/Fuel filter
ecmilley replied to icefisherman's topic in General Discussion
I don't use a seperator on anything i currently own, but it can't hurt to put one on. The one thing i do do is add isopropal based gas line antifrezze to everything every couple of tanks as iso will bond with water and remove it from the system summer or winter, for storage can't really beat yamaha fuel stabilzer it's 100% hydrocarbon based. on the other hand not sure how much iso alcohol will effect a 2-strokers a/f ratio causing a lean issue. -
no it's intresting technology that's for sure, but brp has had all kinds of issues with longevity in the outboards with engine failures, and even there snowmoble sdi systems were prone to crank failures (with a constant stream of oil/fuel to cool the bearings) but this di 600 mill is the same basic engine as the sdi in that it doesn't have liquid cooled cases (that cool's the bottom end) so it'll rely on oil for keeping the crank alive. don't know if the di system is to blame for e-tec problems or quality issue's from brp but mercury and yamaha's direct injection systems are near bulletproof in the outboards. Now is ski-doo can get these to market with minimal problems and solve some quality issues , then offer it in a 450 lb 1000cc sled I'll buy it
-
cause it's new, brp has been trying to perfect it for the last few years in outboards. brp-bring rods and pistons

if they develop it i"ll be selling my house up the road, but there wouldn't be any kind of developing in that area for a long time, way to much swampland to overcome and lots that other site good areas closer to lindsay to develop.
