  1. ewww now i wanna lose thats sure big and ugly, great job putting it together
  2. if it still hurts I'll take that terrible rough riding back pounding boat off your hands hope your feeling better, (at least for quinte after that...) an dif you need anything you know how to reach me
  3. one other thing is there could be one bad coil causing misfire codes on all 3 before pulling plugs and such, do a cylinder balance test( easiest way would be unhook idle motor with engine running and disconnect coil connecter from each coil and note rpm drop from each cylinder. ie rpm at idle 800 rpm unhook cyl#1 should drop at least 75 rpm, hooked it back up disconnect cyl#2 rpm drop is zero, that would be the problem cylinder
  4. this better be successful or I'll need that operation on my ears
  5. vI don't normally see 3 coils fail at the same time, with this engine make sure the egr passages are not plugged up and over didtributing exhaust gasses to 2,3,5
  6. one more thing thats just seems like common sense is to collect numbers of family, friends and even us OFC'ers on your planned route in the event of problems
  7. Cliff before you even think of heading out on the water, make sure your lug nuts are the same size as your car if not get the correct size tire iron. As for on the water... spare pull rope, small flat scredriver 2-3 small twist clamps, sparkplug socket, spare spark plugs wire nuts and electrical tape as well you should already have scissors needle nose and side cutters in your tackle bag
  8. good to see your still posting these great reports, havn't been active on the quinte board in awhile, see ya down there soon Ernie
  9. great stuff i woke up sunday morning seen the wind and changed tactics to drinking beer
  10. i don't speak with emotion or for what i have, had nothing but problems with sea-doo,s and ski doos couldn't seem to keep cranks in them esp( rev 800 power teks and 700 triples) merc may not be the absoulte best on the water but i havn't had any problems with the ones i have owned, fuel mileage is close among modern engines thats almost a non argument, but if i was going to but a new engine right now it would be a yamaha eithe 4 stroke or 2 stroke, have a hard time thinking a e-tec would even compare to a v-max engine.
  11. been down this road before, but the whole self fogging feature is extremly difficult to do unless you have the lap top handy, my 4-stroke ob was done in 10-15 minutes about the time it takes to turn the puter on let it load connect to the internet and post a question on how to fog a e-tec, i have 0 love for brp products have had to many failures with there newer technology.
  12. my merc is old and it leaves no dust lol good one roy
  13. well i use to own horses and the neigbours dogs attacked them 2 times , there was no 3rd time, agree with the farmer just looking at my vet bills, dogs shouldn't run loose, and even if it's a freindly breed how does a farmer know right away if its not causing damage, this is whats happening has urban sprawl spreads into the countryside
  14. I left for work when it was still dark, i could hear the swells smashing off my boathouse, so yea sturgeon lake was a little rough, or i guess i can take the tin missle over to emily and explore through threre
  15. well i am stuck at work today, and when i get outta here if the winds are to bad i will molesting eyes and skis on sturgeon lake
  16. great going, now we gonna have a sturgeon lake bbq? The odd thing cliff I had a rathe large wolf run across the road right in front of me on my way to work tuesday morning about 200 yards from snug harbour rd. and he jump the fence into the cattle field
  17. good one, i have to avoid the liberal weiners as they give me indigestion
  18. well i did make it out, it was a bit rough ib the 12 ft tin , but managed a few eyes and a nice fat fall muskie
  19. I kind of find this offensive, someone catches a salmon where they shouldn't have and someone has to find a negative twist to put on it, looking at the pic myself it would seem clear that the fish was kept and probably bound for a smoker( mmm tasty salmon) it's simple comments like these that get flame wars going
  20. it was a tough go, with all those toothy critters around as well as the cold front that came through Saturday night, but they did start biting again Monday afternoon, but all fish i got monday came jigging, and once i found them(about 20 yards from my dock) they stayed pretty active untill i unintentionally went swimming
  21. i use a bar code reader myself, beep T-bone, Beep T-bone, that be 22.95 please never misses, have a great hunt looking foward to the pics
  22. well i not sure but i guess fishing for toothy critters on Sturgeon lake won't be a stretch, then maybe I'll try out my turkey deep fryer and if i goof on that i have lots of hamburgers
  23. well you can always just phone the cops, they can and will lay charges under the fish and game act
  24. better than a skunk, i had a tough go at my end of the lake as well that cold front really shut down the eyes for the weekend
