out on saturday and seeing the walleye didn't seem to be co-operating decided to start drop shotting the weeds edges and was rewarded with my first drop shot bucket, here's a couple shots.
the bogs conditions can change fast, best to ask where your renting what's going on, there isn't many "spots" the whole lake is a fish factory good luck and post some pics
I stopped by Gagnons after work Thursday and they have recently been restocked with the strikezone baits if anyone is intrested, my wallet takes a pounding in that store but i got some cool colours
I have been looking at boats in the 8-14k range I figure if I don't really like fishing off them I wouldn't be taking a huge hit in the wallet reselling it, as for performance I live on Sturgeon lake don't really need to go faster than 50 never thought about top speed, just being able to fish on something wide and stable
I have been looking at a couple used Bass boats and other than the engine and electrical that I have no problems checking out,. Are there any common problems with certain manufacters that I should be aware of, really like some of the ranger,s I've been looking at but also skeeter and triton and pro-craft all have some nice boats.
Maybe we can all make a faq for buying used boats?
thanks for sharing, that is just awesome, sitting here at work salivating thinking about the chance of boating some of these beauty's in the near future
I am a lefty thats how I do everything
http://www.strikezonetournamentbaits.com/dealerlocator.htm looks like you will have to order cudz, no dealer close to you.
Bucktail personlly I think that the slammers have a much more natural action for the finesse fishing that dropshotting is these things squirm dance and vibrate with the least amount of input, where the gulps smell good but like you said arn't very pliable and seem to require a more jigging like action than a twitching
Well I just had a week off work and spent what time i could in the boat when it wasn't blowing like mad on the lake. with all the unstable weather the last week getting fish to co-operate was a bit tough, but with some expert advice I used drop shotting most of the week and was surprised at the amount of fish I got into, the big fish for me of the week was a 21 inch smallie (no camera that day go figure) tons of 1 and 1.5 lbers kept me amused.
Also did the Gulp versus strikezone tourny baits, If you like drop shotting those strikezone baits were outfishing gulps easily 2 to 1 awesome action.
hers's a couple pics of some fish anyway.

if this is the boat your talking about then by all means get it these boats cut the water well and will give you years of service
there's the launch right in town riveria park, snug harbour has a launch, there is also a free public launch in thurstonia at the bottom of pavillion st, which is pretty much smack in the middle of the lake, ther is also launches around long beach
I prefer to go with yamaha products i find them much more reliable, a good sled for what your looking for would be be the venture touring it has a 144 inch track handles the twisties pretty good and will pretty much float over everything, plus it's super comfy to boot .
