there doesn't appear to be any relays to stick in the system which would lead us to either shorted out wiring or a bad transfercase control module,or a bad dash selector switch the large red and black wires on the encoder should only have voltage when they are switching ranges, no pwer with the key off. lt green wire in E conn in encode is 8vts. first thing two fuses a 15amp 4wd fuse and a atc 20 amp fuse pull each one and see if there is still power going to the encoder . if you pull the atc fuse and it clears up pull unhook the selector switch in dash and put fuse back in if it isn't making a draw you most likely need the switch if not the atc. also try wiggling the harness gently to see if you get ang problems under the truck. i have replaced a couple modules for similar issues this year but it does sound like the transfercase module is sticking

check for a sticking relay in the power box under the hood (I"ll look up a diagram for ya and repost)

cliff you can't go wrong with the lund, princecraft or smokercraft/sylvan boats, but you want a welded hull for some reason i would look at cresliner as the only welded option

i gave up river fishing because of the problems trying to find a decent place to fish and ignorant people, now i have a house on the lake and a boat problem solved

scarborough area dealers were selling 09 rangers 4x4 for around 17000, full size f-150 for 27000. As for problems the 3.0lt and 4.0lt engines are good enough, have lots of ranger customers and there more than happy with there trucks. the only drawback is the limited room and shallow cargo box, but most small trucks are this way

how long do you intend to keep your van? at the mileage your at the struts are most likely worn out, and it won't be long untill the other mount starts acting up, the upper strut mounts are the load bearing supports for the suspension, the best advice i can give you is to replace your front struts and mounts it will restore your ride handling and braking to like new levels

well my 1992 150 faststrike works perfect, there are failsafe built in, but if your that concerned carry a litre of oil with you. almost all two strokes have a form of injection and will fail with age preventive maintaince is the key, i have the shop manual for my fastrike it takes about 30 minutes to run through the vro testing procedure that will usually give you a good indication of something about to fail

sounds like your encoder motor is shorting out (on the side of your transfer case) replace these alll the time on the push button 4wd systems

thanks for the warm and fuzzies

he did a nice job on the boat it looks like he designed some great fishability into it hats off, but i do mirror brians concern for the height of the seats (though it may be more illusion then anything with the picture) my dream walleye boat is a ranger 620 just cause i love glass and shiny things
-
stupid people do stupid things, but being said I also don't have much use for people that want to curse yell and scream at me, example would be a 6lb walleye i caught on the pigeon river, just as i brought it in had some guy come running up to me telling me that i had to let it go i had to or else. or else what i asked, i am afraid it didn't work out to well for him. another recent incident would be the local marina about 2 km from my dock giving me the gears that it wasn't right to fish in the marina that it was unfair blah blah blah I wasn't fishing just wanted gas for the boat but lots of places to get gas.

Buying Replacement Tires for my Truck
ecmilley replied to TroutnMuskieHunter's topic in General Discussion
those tires are at the end of there useful life, while you may get a couple more months out of them they will be bound to let you down at the worst possible time, think about how much fun it is to drop your spare on the shoulder of a secondary highway with a trailer attached right where your trying to work! right now goodyear has some decent instant rebates going on, I put a set of wrangler silent armours on my z-71 last year couldn't be happier they work awesome in the snow/mud/dirt/ boat launch derby and are incredibly quiet for such an aggressive tread pattern, they will be better on fuel than the bfg all terrain ta's due to lighter contruction using kevlar, also the new michelin ltx at2 is a very nice tire, if your looking for a smooth highway tire you can go with the long trails you have now or step up to a michelin ltx m/s or a michelin latitude touring both are good for the 100k area any other q"s feel free to ask. PS while your at it check your trailer tires and bearings -
Any suggestions where to fish tomorrow with 30 km/hr wind?

on the hard blowing days I do my fishing on wfn -
hds are awesome units, as for screen size get the largest you can afford, when you use the split screen for the gps/sonar it'll be a better picture

Astonishing 7.4lb Freak of Nature Speckled Trout !!!

nice fish great scenary thanks for sharing -
the unstable weather hasn't helped much the fish have tended to move out a little deeper but there still there i have been finding more fish in the 6-7 ft depths when i have had a chance to get out. crappies in the kawartha's are underutilized species and keeping pailfulls can only help the walleye, bass, perch, sunfish populations. Jer how you liking those silent armours? had the z-71 off roading with mine a coouple weeks ago never got stuck but "removed" a fog light and cracked the bumper cover
