to bad, my condolences to the family, as much fun as snowmobiling is it's way to easy to outrun you headlights at night on a lake, I would say it gets tough to stop quickly at anyspeed over 80km/h for object on the lake. there is also body armour called tek-vest I would recommend to anyone using sleds and atvs

thanks, I have one mxz to finish putting a track on then heading out so depending on the time you may see me, if not a bunch of us will head over to tims on 36

Cliff your always there for everyone on the board, so don't worry if you have some prior commitments no one person can be everywhere for everyone ( hope you got some cold beer in that fridge I'll be out riding later tonight)
-
can't say i blame you to darn cold to be working on vehicles outside
-
they do make them for manual shift, but for the same reason I don't have it on my car is no remote start is easier than replacing cables
-
the scottys are great as fishindevil mentioned we have been using them for years with no failures, I also use the saltys just because ther quick and easy to mount anywhere
-
that's the most extreme case I have ever seen, sell your customers remote starters that should help somewhat

cliff I had an e-trex and it worked awesome, right untill it went to the bottom of the lake around sturgeon point, now have a magellon, works well but liked the garmin better

hmm never thought about it but usually pick up at least one rod and reel combo between softwater seasons this year i replaced two rods or three, picked up a carrot six, crucial, avid, mactched with a stella, stradic and curado, only the carrot stix and stella have seen use in september the others are still virgins, as for tackle so far about 12 bags of strike zones, 3 buckets of power bait several packages of bio bait and a whole bunch of spinnerbaits and top water stuff before opener still need 3 spools of power pro, 5-6 packages of drop shot hooks, sinkers some rapalas maybe another rod, need a new trolling motor another fishfinder sheesh it never ends

Typical Toyota head gasket leak, usually around $1500 depending on parts required, I could help you out but i am a little busy to do any engine work for the next couple weeks
-
well hirk if you wanted something soldered up you just have to ask!! I'll take an extra large tims with sugar please
-
nope do not pay, that contacting you and giving you an estimate is part of the repair act and would require verbal or written authorization, minisrty of consumer and commercial affairs can clarify this

I spend about 4-500 bones a year on my sled to maintain it, for normal wear and tear items, bogies, sliders ect I do most of my own work, but I still take it to my yammy dealer it amazing what i break sometimes without even knowing it, there is a good chance that the person you bought the sled off didn,t realize there was even a problem, you get use to little quirks without realizing it may lead to bigger problems secondly i have rode with busted up suspension components and so long as your on a grommed trail you would hardly notice anything (especially wearing a bigg azz helmet) it's when you go off trail and into the rough that any problems would manifest themselves. don't get to mad yet once it's fixed up it'll give you a couple good years of service

with the build quality of todays engines being top notch, doesn't really matter whitch major brand you choose, from personnel expierance the merc 40 4str is a great little engine good on fuel smooth runner the only draw back i have seen is the friction adjustment on the tiller handle doesn't work to well, i would buy one if the faced with the choice, but yamaha, honda are excellant engines as well , the e-tec still having some reliability issues but there getting better with every year

Sunday I put both my boats away for the winter sleep, and reflecting upon my soft water season, i must say it was pretty good, lots of fish of all species some good sized ones, no personal bests this year but I don't expect to break any of those living on a kawarthA lake. but I got to thinking of new techniques and all the good advive i have gotten on all things like boats and drop shotting and some great conversations over the year, so for all the pro's that come and visit and help us all out this is a big THANK YOU for the help some of us really apprieciate it. Mark Kulik for giving me so much help any time i needed it (now I am addicted to drop shotting) Hirk (thanks for all the boat advice) Slayinm for always answering questions being the neighbour across the lake and sharing tactics unselfishly. I am missing a bunch of you for sure, and hope to see some of you on the ice

I think it will be a intresting fight and for me I am looking at a 50:50 with expierence on one side and brutal fast power on the other. All I know is that tonight I'll be sitting in my living room with a case of keith's chilling in the fridge and watching it unfold on a 46" plasma and thanking god it's not me in the ring with either of them
-
thanks hirk, that's great advice, never thought of putting that other site in the bilge and livewells but makes perfect sense, I'll be by the store I need to order some cleats for the boat
-
buy a sled works for me, now looking at the boat and sled in the driveway right now drives my a little nuts

If it is a ofsc trail that goes through private property you need a permit regardless, if it's on a public trail then no pass required to go fishing/hunting
-
seeing that i live in dunsford that can be arranged if you like, already do that for my neigbours for a fellow OFC'er no probs

The rover isn't too bad of a tire you will find it a little noisy, but I do LTdesignation on the rover max load will occour at 60 or 80 psi, first it becomes a safety concern as to what the rims rec max pressure will be (usually 35-40 psi) on a oem p-metric fitment the lt tires will ride much rougher and reduce fuel economy, if cost is a issue may I suggest a couple decent tires in the correct size and load for your vehicle. 265/70r16 michelin ltx m/s I sell them for $218 installed and balanced (there is also a $50 mail in rebate on a set of 4) dunlop radial rover AT in p265/70r16 $148 each I+B Goodyear wrangler silent armour $192 I+B there is also a rebate of $60 on these bargain tire like a signet roadian $128 each guess I should mention that I am using the goodyear silent armour wranglers on my Z71 so far they have been awesome in any conditions i been in
