  1. Both are good little trucks you won't really have to many issues with either truck, choose the one you like best, the only thing i have noticed with the smaller trucks is they get gas mileage very similar to there full size counterparts
  2. the coyotes chased a deer out on the lake and had dinner about a week ago out front of the golf course at sturgeon point, all that was left was a head and ribcage
  3. i have the hds-8 on the ranger as the main graph and a hummingbird colour unit on the trolling motor while i like both units the hds is the best sonar i have ever seen for target detail can't wait to pick up the structure scan for it
  4. any of the utility sleds would do the job i am partial to yamaha but thats my opinion. sleds to look at ar yamaha vk professional ski-doo skandic, polaris bearcat i think it's called all have wide long tracks and wide skis all good faetures for back country adventures
  5. Cliff there is 10 to 12 inches all over the lake with few exceptions ellery bay has a open spot near shore and there is some questionable ice near birchpoint and the very middle out front of the house could dirve a car on it if i wanted to
  6. not bad reels, very fast spools i use one for pitching and it compares nicely with a curado
  7. nice truck lew, pretty sure you know where to get a deal on tires when the time comes was seriously considering getting a new f-150 but the gmc will get another 5 years instead i will be picking up a hyundai genisis coupe
  8. sounds like you need at least a cylinder head havn't seen a tdi not bend the valves when this happens.
  9. ok from my expierence 2-300 rpm over stock and a good clutch set up will give you great results and still be reliable ,that 5800 will eat belts up pretty good and will make for a pretty poor riding sled, if you want similar performance to the formulas and mxz's change the to one lower gear in the chain case
  10. try www.doo-talk.com for all answers
  11. well since you know everything what was the question again?
  12. with any 2 stroke the first thing i would do is a compression check if it checs out ok then jets or carb floats could be the culprit, but it could also be a build up of moisture in the fuel tank, and on a sled that old i would be checking the drive belt and the primary and secondary clutches for correct operation cause it sounds to me like the sled may be choking on the belt
  13. the viera has a 20 year span don't hesitate to buy it, I have the 46 it is a great tv and once you watch a fottball game or haockey in hd it tough to go back. As for quality i have neigbours with samsung while they have a good pic there 53 has been in for warranty a couple times the same with other friends who have lg's if your tv will be in a bright room lcd is a brighter pic and no glare the plasma's have a glass screen over them that can make viewing tough with direct sunlight. generlly the plasma is better for sports as they have a faster response rate but it all depends on $$$$$
  14. I learned that my ranger is more comfortable to fish from than a aluminum boat
  15. Dave , this is a game changer for sure, when you picking me up for a ride? would like to be in a bass boat without smelling all that amsoil i burn
  16. mike from lindsay, wilmont, bowmanville creeks would be closest
  17. I will pass it along dan, but shawn is worse than usual at returning messages He bought his first sled recently and has been spending most weekends polishing it with a mill st stock ale in hand wondering how bad his butt is gonna get kicked by the big yammie
  18. yup shawn is livin at my place in dunsford
  19. It'll be nice to try out some ice fishin on sturgeon, i know the lake well enough from sledding and have been marking spots on my handheld gps, i guess the sledders will have to be more careful now with fisherman on the lake
  20. Awesome fish, it is a trophy of a lifetime and will look great on the wall. As usual Greg a informative and excellant post enjoy the hunt
  21. the mud terrains will work but not very well. the siping is in the tire to help pump water out and provide traction edges in wet/winter driving conditions what size you need may be able to get you some good options
  22. take the ticket in, see the crown they will many times drop it to 15 over right then and there and send you the bill in the mail, beats waiting for court and taking your chances.
