  2. I have the same trifecta works great and looks good only downfall is a big load you have to remove it but no big deal at 2 minutes of work. also it cost me about 440 taxes in
  3. I am taking out all cfl in my house for the few pennies i save on hydro, then you have to take the burned out bulb in for hazourdous waste for the mercury content in the bulb.
  4. thanks guys, maybe i will hold that trip off for a couple more weeks, looks like the nuke plant it is
  5. made it to kaladr for squeeky cheese thingys did ya, I usually make the trip to empire in warkworth for the same thing lol. My lake is starting to split i figure four or five more days for the main part of sturgeon to break open. Next time your in the area stop over in dunsford, fishendevil living at my house now which is about 25 minutes from peterpatch will have a cold one for ya
  6. while the 9.9 and the 15 yams share the same block and corresponding bore and stroke, when you factor in the price of the carb, intake runners exhaust system and possibly a flywheel to alter ignition timing is is cheaper to sell the 9.9 and buy the 15 hp engine
  7. being landlocked all winter starting to get a little stir crazy, seeing I'll have the boat ready to go, may either go to the pickering nuke or the niagra river to pester some trout or something any advice for fishing the lower river would be great seeing i 've never been there and will be fishing out of a 18ft ranger bass boat
  8. nice shop looks like you have lots of room to move around in, its hard to lose good people and even harder to replace them
  9. nice truck, let us know the real world gas mileage on it have been considering trading the seirra for the new ram but will most likely pick up another seirra (that 402 hp denali sure looks nice)
  10. engine can be a concern like already mentioned, other than checking it over for mice nesting, it pulls over fairly easy drain fuel ect the only area i would be looking to is to make sure the clutchs are not sticking, and don't bother checking just change the driveshaft bearing oppisite the chaincase
  11. hey Lew check out www.bassboatcentral.com or bigfatbass lots of guys in the southern us have been using this motor all winter long, should be a couple reviews kicking about
  12. I really like the owner 1/0 2/0 sizes for texas rigging when fishing weedy areas and use short shank gamu's when nose hooking my drop shot offering in rocks current areas
  13. dirty lead isn't worth much cliff, but wheel weights work fine for jigs, just have to skim the impurities off the top of the pot. may as well keep em cause lead wheel weights are going to be in short supply soon, there moving towards steel weights now do to enviromental concerns
  14. I picked up a new abu garcia revo sx 11 bearing reel wow this thing is smoooooth, it took a lbit of convincing seeing i am a big shimano fan but theis thing is everybit as good as my chronarchs can't wait to to throw some senkos with it. If your thinking of a new bait caster this reel deserves a serious look better than my new curados and picked it up on sale at Hirk's in courtice for 165 with a rod purchase (also can't wait to feel a big bucket pulling on the all-star rod i grabbed)
  15. nice ride Lew, btw do you need my address so you can pick me up on the way to pigeon?
  16. still running sleds around my place cliff, went out and augered a couple holes around 22 inches of ice, but it's getting punky fast seen some floating ice sheets around kennedy bay, but with 240 studs and 150+ hp I don't really worry about a bit of open water just keep the fun flipper to the bar
  17. sounds like you cracked a plug, If yyou want drive it to my shop in scarborough I'll give iit a look for a large tim's
  18. Need some info, like 2s or 4s and some pics would help
  19. I had several z's and miss everyone of them, can you compare mid 80's power levels to what we have today? a corvette in 85 had all of 230 hp l98 engine. today a zr1 is pushing 625 or so
  20. can't wait to put these in, already found a bunch of toggles and power points in the ranger, all i need is a 8 inch sub and I'll put the kids in there hondas to shame
  21. lowrance rep was mentioning this at the show, I will have to hold off on the 'bird side imaging till I see how the lowrance system works
  22. congrats
  23. there's the ones I use and the ones I lend
  24. well Lew you will hear many different opinions on this subject, depending how often your going through a tank a fuel would dictate your use, with the amount you seem to fish every 2-3 tanks, if the boat will be sitting for more than a week at a time keep stabilzer in it. While there are many grat products for this I generally stick with Yamaha's own fuel condtioner and stabilizer as it's a hydrocarbon based product instead of alcohol. Every 5 tanks of fuel i usually put 250ml of dry gas in as well (isopropal) to make sure any moisture is taken care of.
  25. I believe that hirks marine in courtice sells them, give dave a shout at 905-576-8600
