  1. The Otter stuff does look Heavy Duty, I have the Clam base camp , it works fine and have had no problems in 2 winters of use. If i get a portable hut for pulling, the Otter may be the way to go. They are pricey though.
  2. beauty pike, those ciscoes look good too, looks like you had the whole lake to yourselves
  3. awesome fish , thanks for posting the report
  4. great report, looks the weather was a little nasty but worth it for that giant muskie
  5. I just saw it advertised on Best Buy, looks like they have 3 packages with various upgrades, would love to get one. I have been using the the HD video on my Canon T1i but it is bulky and and not waterproof. GoPro is by far the best option, if anyone here has the Hero3, would be nice to get some opinions.

  7. Yeah we did have all the Trailer Park boys there when Mike did a great impression of Bubbles that had us in stitches . (Mike does great impersonations by the way) Thanks for a memorable trip guys. Mike as usual you have done a great job in telling a story. My PB walleye of 30.5 there will be hard to beat but I am always up for the challenge.

  17. Caught my PB speckled trout from one of AP's beautiful lakes, and staring at a wolf on a portage are two of my most memorable moments in the park. Going up in a couple of weekends with my wife to see the fall colours.

  19. Then she began to move, and he shouted “Fish on!”. I asked “Feel big?” to which he replied “Not sure…” but then she broke water, and a MASSIVE green head thrashed from side to side, almost in slow motion! “HOLY CRAP, IT’S A BEAST!!!” I yelled, and as Andrew dragged her away from the rocks, she began to show her strength, going deep and staying there. She took him for a walk all around the boat, with thumping headshakes and pulling him dangerously close to the trolling motor at times. She dove straight down at one point and literally doubled his sling blade in half. Andrew had loosened his drag off, but she never really made any runs – just staying deep and bulldogging. She finally started to tire, and I waited for just the right moment to slide the net under her. This was not a net job to botch – I don’t think Andrew would ever have spoken to me again if I had messed it up!!! I looked at her in the new, looked up at Andrew and quietly said “Dude, I think she is going to go 55” Did anyone hear that joyful scream last Friday afternoon? Yup, that was Andrew from 2000km away. Felt like I was there ... amazing report .... awesome fish ... congrats
