That is an amazing report. Love some of the release photos, very well done. Looks like you have caught and released more fish in one week than i may ever catch. Thanks for the putting all that together.

Glad to hear all is well now. We had that same bug go through my wife first then 3 days later hits me and then 3 days later my daughter .... my son so far is ok, but we have wiped evrything we touched in the house with disinfectant ... hope it works and he doesn't get it... my wife said she thinks she got it from someone at work ... may have just touched the same computer and then wipe your eyes or nose and it's too late

Spiel, .... I believe there were huts at other end of the lake ... most belonged to cottagers it was a clear and very cold day but not bad without the wind

i was thinking of picking one up before we head up to Temagami next week... they look amazing ... do you think they would work for ice fishing , using just a straight jigging motion ? the sound would definitely attract fish

the 5 yrs of ice fishing Temagami we were rewarded last year with our first taste of pickeral, since we usually target lakers .. perhaps we never were out at the right time for pickeral, last year we caught our pickeral in about 25ft of water just off one of the islands , using a jig and minnow, i think the tme was critical as it was just before dark , the weather was crappy as well as it was pouring rain , i think we would have stayed longer but we were soaked ... the next day it was -10 again

Hi guys, i just posted my intro earlier , but wanted to say hello as I am headin up next wednesday to Temagami ...made my fishfinder mods, and sled to haul my gear.... can't wait... looks like the temps will drop back down by the weekend good luck

Hello OFC’ers, I have been a member for a couple of years now but was not reading the forum very often. You all seem to have a great deal of experience in what I call my favorite pastime (fishing that is). Thanks to everyone for providing such great info, I hope to be able to provide some as well now that I am on this forum more often. Many of my fishing stories have been up in Algonquin Park, this is where I find my solitude and get in some great fishing. I only have a canoe so gotta keep off the main drag. My buddy and I started ice fishing about 5 yrs ago and have been going up to Temagami ever since … with side trips to Simcoe and Haliburton. We are headed up to Temagami next week for the laker opener and I hope to share my report and pics with y’all. Last year I was lucky enough to get 5 species over 4 days (laker, whitefish, ling, cisco and pickerel)… you just never know whats comin up that hole …LOL cheers
