  1. Got the same one, works great for the salmon glow spoons.
  2. Been around for years. They have 2 models, one without the line stripper and the other with. Both have small grind stone, works very well. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Berkley-1337879-Line-Stripper-Hook-Sharpener-G3-Fishing-Black-Red/381856286370?hash=item58e86886a2:g:u6MAAOSwjyhaBlnz
  3. The ones where the fishing line goes through on the rod. In winter they freeze up and then you have to dick around blowing on them or breaking off the little bits of ice so the line can be let out or reeled in.
  4. Snowshoes so you can navigate around that motel parking lot you're going to stay at. If you're hell bound for leather and must do it, here's some tips. Having done winter exercises, some in extreme cold, make sure you have a good quality air mat and cot to get off the ground. Never climb into your sack with clothes on, you'll sweat then get cold and freeze. Hang your clothes to dry, they may be cold as a witch to get into the next morning, but dry. Would I do it again, nope, been there, done that at at -52.
  5. Careful, Agent Smith might pop out of the screen
  6. Ok, reading, 100% , comprehension today, phfffft, lol
  7. Well I would hesitate to cut the rod with side cutters, you may end up crushing the tip and then loosing more length. Take an xacto knife and gently score the wrap and unravel it. Take a Bic lighter and GENTLY heat the top eyelet, hold the eyelet with a pair of small pliers, a slight twist and it will come off.
  8. You are going to be the recipient of a massive smile on 25th.
  9. Ya, those windbaggers always cut you off when you're downrigging.
  10. Not sure but what about those rigs they use for pike fishing that has the flag and small "wing" that goes up and down with the wind, wind powered jigger?
  11. A different approach, maybe something for someone with limited dexterity.
  12. It's Shawn Degagne who used to have Idle Tyme.
  13. Oh yaaaa, and it's a tiller!
  14. Santa came early this year, well actually it was Brian and dropped off a real nice variety of jig heads, from micro size to laker killers. I'll be trying them out as soon as La Nina leaves town and we can get some ice for a change. Thanks Brian, much appreciated.
  15. Nature has some fine artistic colours.
  16. All is well and know you know it will run in the spring
  17. Well you could all rent a mini bus, hop in and go pay Simon an unannounced visit.
