  1. That's cuz they're taking the scenic route in and out of ditches, through the rhubarb patches and everywhere else except the road..
  2. After market seats do not cut the mustard when stopped on trails or roads. They are not legal unless on your own property.
  3. Ya, I know, Don't think looking the the back of someones head is the most fun thing for a 2 up. Friend of mines got a Polaris RZR, brand new, didn't get far, lower rad hose rubbed through on the CV joint, loss of coolant and required a tow back on the first trip. Another has a new Polaris 2 up, (bought early summer) well he didn't get far either, stater went for a poop, no charging, Finally after about 4 months they had to cannibalize one from a new machine in the showroom, parts still on back order. Kind of makes you wonder why people buy this junk, it must be the cheap price to get them out the door.
  4. Well, in that case take a look at the Kawasaki Teryx.
  5. What he said, some nutbars can wreck a machine in 500km. We had a couple of 2004 450 Kodiaks at work, one with just over 10,000km after 10 years and I would have bought it. I've seen a couple with around 3500km and everything on the drive line was wobbling and loose. I would avoid anything with over size tires, lift kits, snorkels etc, like the plague, you know they have been submarining in the swamps, maybe even flooded the engine and all the electronics. I wouldn't touch Arctic Cats, Can Ams or Polaris either. Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki are far more reliable. We got 2 new 650 Can Am Outlanders at work, more shop time than on the road. Polaris are notoriously bad for cold weather. Artic Cats, well low end of the totem pole.
  6. Unscrew the valve core, pop the bead, I use a couple of big wood clamps. Get some 0000 steel wool and shine up the bead surfaces on the rim, both sides, no need to take off the tire. spread a really thin coat of petroleum jelly(vaseline or pam) on the tire beads and re inflate and replace the valve core. Slime is only for emergencies. If you do use a tube make sure it's whatever the tire is, radial or bias ply.
  7. The EH Team, eh, good one.
  8. Got the same one, works great for the salmon glow spoons.
  9. Been around for years. They have 2 models, one without the line stripper and the other with. Both have small grind stone, works very well. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Berkley-1337879-Line-Stripper-Hook-Sharpener-G3-Fishing-Black-Red/381856286370?hash=item58e86886a2:g:u6MAAOSwjyhaBlnz
  10. Oh ya, I'll take a couple.
  11. The ones where the fishing line goes through on the rod. In winter they freeze up and then you have to dick around blowing on them or breaking off the little bits of ice so the line can be let out or reeled in.
  12. Snowshoes so you can navigate around that motel parking lot you're going to stay at. If you're hell bound for leather and must do it, here's some tips. Having done winter exercises, some in extreme cold, make sure you have a good quality air mat and cot to get off the ground. Never climb into your sack with clothes on, you'll sweat then get cold and freeze. Hang your clothes to dry, they may be cold as a witch to get into the next morning, but dry. Would I do it again, nope, been there, done that at at -52.
  13. That's the one.
  14. Choko makes decent products
  15. Careful, Agent Smith might pop out of the screen
  16. Ok, reading, 100% , comprehension today, phfffft, lol
  17. Well I would hesitate to cut the rod with side cutters, you may end up crushing the tip and then loosing more length. Take an xacto knife and gently score the wrap and unravel it. Take a Bic lighter and GENTLY heat the top eyelet, hold the eyelet with a pair of small pliers, a slight twist and it will come off.
  18. I like the police cat.
  19. You are going to be the recipient of a massive smile on 25th.
  20. Without snow to screw it all up.
  21. Ya, those windbaggers always cut you off when you're downrigging.
  22. Not sure but what about those rigs they use for pike fishing that has the flag and small "wing" that goes up and down with the wind, wind powered jigger?
  23. A different approach, maybe something for someone with limited dexterity.
  24. It's Shawn Degagne who used to have Idle Tyme.
