  1. Just a small heads up if you're interested, there's a Mike Holmes charity ride next weekend in Borden, I'm not associated with it, just for your info.
  2. The only thing I would really have people pay attention to on the ice bungalows are that they are pretty much all heated, lit and stoves with propane. A couple years back we went with Rob and ended up getting pretty sick, 2am and everyone had major headaches and hurling in the snowbank..CO poisoning. (Nobody in our group was into the booze or anything like that), I'll never go back unless I bring a portable CO detector.
  3. Amen, finally.
  4. I just booked our annual trip with Idle Tyme at Lake Nippissing, good outfitter, meets all your requisits.
  5. Here's a direct link for the model 185, 195 and 2195. http://www.mustangsurvival.com/products/category.php?t=2
  6. Oh ya, been there a few times for stuff that's "obsolete" or if you're making your own dash or electrical system.
  7. It's toast, I got my last Gp27DC from Total battery for $78.
  8. Something to do with lack of drainage between the inner and outer fender, my neighbour had it done to hers.
  9. Inflatable boats are like a peenis, they all go soft after a while, especially after some of the beatings they take..the boat I mean.
  10. Well he got caught, hopefully they smack him with the book of fines.
  11. He sure has a catching smile there, sorry for your loss, may the fond memories carry you in the future.
  12. The Notty run isn't what it used to be either, yesterday saw 4 and today 3 going up the Pine.
  13. That seems to wrap that one up...
  14. Seems like the consensus is that the GB fish are a little larger this year although not as many caught, not like the last couple years of a head and tail and a rack of bones in between. Good catch.
  15. The only point that I would question is the 250' depth range, if you fish the deep water for salmon then it's no good.
  16. Now tell the truth, this is a well conceived tournament just so you can get into Hooters and get some wings...right. Nice fish.
  17. Like others said, possibly a double return, but then again it's a humminbuzzard. I would find some clear water with a hard bottom and give it a try, turn off the fish ID too. Fish finders don't know the difference between lobster poop and a fish, they mark a lot of bunk and show it as a fish. Friend of mine proved that with his cannonball..lead fish
  18. The older you get the more the gas version is appreciated. 4-6 inches of ice, okay, I'll still hand crank, beyond that fergedaboutdit, Jiffy 30 does the job. 20 years old and still running without any problems.
  19. Oh they're in the harbour already, some of the entries were caught from the "wall" and trolling inside the harbour.
  20. I think 19.25 was the winner, it was just mere ounces between the top 10. Someone got a 16+lb rainbow for the trout category, quite a nice fish.
  21. Well after many hours of trolling in straight lines, loops, S bends, and other maneuvers, I finally hooked up with an 18.43lb salmon. Landing the fish was another comedy, me out there alone, holding an umbrella, net not yet extended, holding the rod in one hand, knee knocking the tiller to stay away from other boats, finally close the umbrella, cursed a blue streak trying to open the net, meanwhile she's trying to get away, line peels past the backing knot, hope that holds. Finally get her close, set the net handle between my legs wit the net overboard, get the fish into the net and sit down on the handle. Get the fish in the boat and she spits out the lure. Lady luck was smiling on me. A couple other boats around me let out a whoop. Off to the weigh station with another boater, made second place for thursday and 10th place overall. got a nice prize package. Barely get back into my truck, the phone rings and 12footspringbok says, what did you get? There goes the new smoker already, he deserves it, he spent many hours out there at the start of the week with me.
  22. The chirping of the birds, waves lapping on the shore, a chipmunk scolding a crow and then the waa waa waa waa of those wrong word annoying seadoos.
  23. And what was the best thing before sliced bread...
  24. If the wires were not connected in correct sequence, it would be running like a bag of hammers, you would definitely notice the difference. If it's a multiple carb unit, they may need a thorough cleaning and rebalancing. Give it a healty dose of Seafoam and take it for a good run, it will smoke like a friehgt train and burn the carbon out. Next, get yourself some synthetic 2 stroke oil, doesn't foul anywhere as bad as dino oil. And lastly, it's still a 2 stroke and they tend to foul plugs if everything is not adjusted to optimum performance, just the nature of the beast.
  25. Firing order should not have anything to do with the lcoation of the wires. Worst scenario if you don't get them in the right order, it won't run right and you'll have to switch them around.
