  1. In addition to what Garritt said, say we have a minumum order of product XYZ, where the heck do you stockpile it. In sure the seller doesn't want be be the storage facility once the items are sold. Even if we find a storage place, then what about shipping?
  2. Buy something made here, Leer isn't all that it cracked up to be. http://www.fibrobec.com/home.html
  3. Amen to that one. I had my issues with the company that makes Marcum and bought out the Aqua Vu Showdown. Needed an upgrade at my expense and charged me for shipping. After specifically requesting US Postal Shipping, they sent it with the brown truck and cost me another $40. Their answer to that was, too bad, so sad. After doing some digging I found anyone north of the border was getting the same lousy deal. So when time comes to get a new winter ice fishing flasher, remeber about customer service and this company.
  4. Figured as much, thanks,
  5. Didn't think anyone was allowed to fish for new member for another board.
  6. They're just narrow streamers, came back from BPro, from Cookstown north was a bit of a slowdown, past Barrie it's okay. If you wait 10 minutes it can change.
  7. 11:30 at night on questionable conditions eh, I wonder what the precursor to that was?
  8. Maybe it's time to have a massive e-mail, snail mail and telephone complaints to the "honourable" dork of a minister of everythings all screwed up again. Snail mail can be sent to your local member of parliament without a stamp. No point complaining here.
  9. Even 10-20 is far too many, you can only wear one at a time.
  10. Had another Darwin Special on Simcoe today, buddy figured the ice was getting too thick and needed to be broken up with his nomobile. Unfortunately the rescue crew had to go and pluck his sorry bacon out of the drink. Nomobiles are those things that don't work well in the water, when you try and start them, they go no no no no! They added a careless driving charge, should have been wasting oxygen.
  11. Usually everyone goes home at the end of the day and that's where the problem comes in, booze and hmmm.. whooze goink todive ome? If you can't fish without booze you have a problem.
  12. Unfortunately that's where natures stuck some peoples brains, in their "noodle". Fortunately no rescue guys had to stick their necks out for them.
  13. There's the crucial part where you are wrong, every Complete discharge takes "1 life cycle" out of the battery and the problem is with NiCds, you don't know with a VOM how "dead" or discharged the battery is. Some electronic gadgets have a "time to recharge" feature, things like an electric knife don't. So you kill the batteries each time a little more when in actual fact a deep discharge may only be needed maybe 1 in every 10 cycles. I used NiCds over the years with model flying, you learn really really quickly how to screw things up at your own expense. Present day you will find more and more NiMH rechargables, they don't develop memory and don't use Cadmium (bad heavy metal). You have to read all 4 pages of the link to get the whole truth.
  14. And pray do tell where did you learn this? And don't be telling me a friend of your Uncle Tony or anything like that. How about something technical.
  15. Why is it that some people don't bother to get educated about things and then just babble. Unless you're a complete and and doing stooopid things, working on the car/truck doesn't gather attention. Similar to having the boat anchored/tied up and having the required amenities.
  16. If it's not getting gas into the carb, (you said you had to spray gas into the carb earlier on to get it to run), then I'm suspecting the needle valve above the diaphram is stuck and/or the diaphram is so old and dry that it won't allow the needle valve to open and let the gas flow.
  17. Nope, we pay our bills over here..
  18. The carb doesn't suck from the tank, it's gravity fed with a needle valve that controls the initial flow, then regulated by the one or two needle valves or jet depending on the model. The primer bulb causes the diaphram to go up, trip the needle valve to allow gas in, same as when the motor is running. Have you changed the diaphram?
  19. And, if I not wrong and you don't pay, try renewing you DL or registration.
  20. Well if there's gas in the tank and it's not leaking out, then I would believe that the hose is secure enough at both ends. Does the auger run, that's the big question. Bubbles can come back up from the carb and into the line, shouldn't bother it any.
  21. Hmmm, you really have to put in some more effort for the backdrop in the 4th pic.
  22. You're the owner/operator/captain of the boat, get a belt, pull up your pants and grow some kahunas or go back into the kitchen and find an apron.
  23. Ya, took an other peek this morning, doesn't look good yet. Looks more like end of the season crumbly sugar ice with water patches on top. It's pretty bad when this place doesn't have anyone out there fishing by Boxing day.
  24. I had to read the whole thing..line the walls with tin??? Aren't you supposed to use aluminum foil to keep out the bad vibes and space rays
  25. Okay, thanks, at least I have a rough idea. We have been out to Glen Echo a couple times and few of the others a little west of there. I know where Wasi Falls is, ate frog legs once upon a time in a little restaurant in Callander. Thanks again.
