  1. Lew so sorry to hear I've had to put down two dogs in my life. Despite how much I love dogs can't go through that again.
  2. Yes saw this already. Awesome video. Do you think they cleared the ice and melted the surface to get it so clear? Tough to imagine no build up of snow on top.
  3. As said above some great musky fishing to be had upstream of 69 as well as right down into the French. From what I understand the walleye fishing is pretty good to.
  4. Another Winter Jonesing for Some Flyfishing Video
  5. Not leadcore per say but I use various grain full sinking shooting heads for getting my fly down in rivers that are large and flowing like the Nipigon. Not for walleye though.
  6. White ones are actually deadly for lake specks

  8. We use a Dewalt Cordless with a six inch auger. Will drill holes all day. Gone are the days of lugging around a huge gas powered head.
  9. Crap that's some good photos. Last one is now my wallpaper
  10. A little bit further but not much if your going to Joe would be Parry Sound. One of the best ice fishing lake trout destinations there is. 100 ft from the parking lot and your into them.
  11. Thats a greaser bonanza there. Wish I would have done as well on Monday. Good job.
  12. I have a cottage this summer between Hanover and Walkerton perhaps we might fish together sometime. EDit- Oh yeah Welcome back
  13. Well I get the urge for strange like a man married seven years at a singles bar. For me it's all about getting to new places. If I only have a day or two I stick with the tried and true but any other trip I'm going someplace new. That's put me on hundreds of lakes I've never fished before. Most of the time I manage to catch a fish or two. I hardly ever go back to a lake or river I've fished before because there are so many to chose from in this great country. That said my most epic fail was a 7 day trip down the Kowkash river near Aroland, Ontario. We arrived after two solid days of torrential downpours and high water from a late spring. We had a great first day and the first rapid below our put in lake was insane. Fish on every cast. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lowpZrHSxe8 The rest of the trip the river mudded out with visibility of less than 6 inches. The river was right up into the forest on the banks and finding campsites was darn near impossible. We still had a great time though lots of wildlife like moose and bear. Would I do the river again? No there is other rivers in the area I haven't done yet that I'm more interested in.
  14. When we wouild catch them its deep but that's cause we are targeting whitefish and they are incidental catches
  15. God I remember awesome ice fishing for chinny's at Thompson Hole and Colpoys but it's been a long time since they were frozen over where I trusted them.
