Actually I have more deer than squirrels on the property the back 12 acres are all woods and brambles that we let grow out so the deer have food and shelter. The area I am in is Loudoun County Virginia and it has some of the highest deer populations in the USA. Besides around here all of my neighbors have guns and they will shoot back.lol. Art -

No wonder you all have so much snow with everyone buying snowmachines... Nice sled for sure down here I would be lucky to get 2 weeks a year riding and only on grassy areas. Art -

I decided on the eco boost 150 4x4 crew with the 6.5ft bed and 3.72 gear e locker and tow package. I wanted a tow vehicle that would hold all of my gear and haul a Ranger boat 12 hours at 75 mph with no issues. Since it is not a daily driver the last truck I had was traded in with 36,000 miles and 7 years old. I recovered over 65% of my purchase price. I have other vehicles to drive if I am not towing or need the room of the pick up. Try to get the truck that will make you happy the first time and if the budget gets a little stretched you can give up a bad habit or two or even pack lunches to make up the difference. Art

GM rated near the top by Consumer Reports

I can live with that statement it read to me differently that it was only one nation that had issues with their government. I fought hard to get the freedom to have an electorial process to chose my government and while my choice is not always chosen I support them whole heartedly till the next chance to choose is presented. The freedom that you have to express your opinion and bash the US Government that has saved/prevented many "evils" in the world is one you will never thank me for. Please use this privilege wisely it cost me Time, Money, and the blood of fellow servicemen. Art The United States Navy SeaBees -

While I do not use a float rod I have 5 other Spiel creations that I treasure they were made with special sized grips and matched to specific reels for my use down here in the States. I have been following the design and build on the Kingpin Rod and can appreciate the excellent mechanics that went into the design and build of this Fishing art work. I am glad you all got to test them on such a pristine waterway and some really nice fish. Art

It doesn't have a fan belt all electric. With the 3.31 gear set you can get 21 MPG but I don't know why people think we buy a 4X4 full crew cab with 2.72 gears, e locking differentials and a tow package rated at 11,300 LBS for gas mile ratings. If I want to go far on a little gas I can chose the Cooper, 3 motorcycles or the volkswagen. when you got to tow weight the better the truck is set up the less strain you put on the vehicle and the SAFER you can tow. The forecast is Heavy rain tonight with flooding extending to Tuesday morning. 8-10 inches likely with winds at 30- 40 MPH and gusts to 50 MPH in areas. The big boat is double lined and set with 4 ft leashes for coastal flooding. The danger here is the rain saturating the ground and the trees blowing down on the power lines. They have other crews coming in from other states but the trees on the roads and the winds will make a power outage more than likely 3-5 days depending on what day it goes out. This is the forecast we have planned for we hope it is less but they have been pretty close on the storm forecasts around here being our governments power base being so close to us. Thanks for the well wishes we will keep you posted if we have power and internet. Art

Nope you got me Bob I'm not sure how the world will continue if we all don't buy a Tundra. The fact that I had 6000 lbs between the boat and the equipment I was bringing up North might have something to do with my gas milage. The 75 Mph speed we averaged didn't help either. I'm glad you are happy with the Tundra my experiences with them paints a much blacker picture hence the Ford in my life. Art

Sorry to hear this Paul it is good that the memories live on in you and others hearts. Art -
Good move Lew I have the 2012 Eco Boost as you saw at Lak Air. Mine went to Canada and back loaded 12 hours straight and pulling the Ranger boat averaged 14.5 MPG. That may seem low to some but I have the 4X4 with the 3.72 gear set and E locker combo. The tow package in the trucks are set up right and it is a bull of a truck. I average 17 MPG without the boat around town and highway otherwise. I would check on the rock guard on the intercooler Ford does not want the air flow obstructed and can void the warrentee if it is a heat related failure from what I was told. Art

I have tried to bust up 4 okuma reels for 3 seasons with catfish up to 55 lbs so far no failures or repairs. I especially like the way you can go from free lining to engaged with a fish running that move has toasted may a lesser reel in my past. Art
