  4. A true southern gentleman and a pillar of the community! Glen, PM me for the address to send the check.LOL Nice job Glen!
  5. Great shots Phil!
  6. Great pictures Connie!
  7. 126 beers? LOL you have been gone 10 years? Glad you had a good time! Get fidel`s autograph?
  8. Maureen I caught part of a radio interview of a lady talking about autism here. As I understood it they don`t know the cause, but there has been like a 2,000% increase in the number of reported cases since the 1950`s? Better diagnostics, or just increasing numbers? A bad thing either way!
  9. I make a lot of my own jigheads also. I wasn`t happy with the hooks offered in most ready made ones. They are offering a lot of better quality hooks in them now but the price is high, I make what I have a mold for. I don`t paint them, I use powder coating, soft plastics don`t affect it, I also put glitter in hobby epoxy and brush in on some over the powder coating. I get my lead for free also, got my powder coating for free, hooks run about 9 bucks a hundred for most but I also use some that are more.
  10. LOL ya oil baths are used on tractor trailers, you can see when the oil level is low, with grease you guess. The seals go bad sometimes, most trucks are averaging pretty close to 100,000 mile a year. Whatever you are comfortable with, both work.
  11. I don`t have any of the trolling rods, but some baitcasting and spinning. Decent rods, no problems with them.
  12. Article about them in the paper here today also, they are running behind processing them. Go figure!
  13. I don`t know if CAA is like triple a down here, we have it! Ours has a basic plan and a plus plan we have the plus. Different features one was towing distance. LOL my old van broke down at work one day, the pickup coil in the distributor went. I didn`t feel like fixing it at work, they towed it the 28 miles home. It is worth the money just for the peace of mind.
  14. It was in the paper here today also, wal-mart brand was mentioned too.
  15. On a boat that size my first pick would be an electric trolling motor, at least 74 pound thrust, 24 volt. You are required to carry a paddle or oar? Just my experiance that they are all but useless, well as a push pole if the water is shallow. 2 anchors and extra anchor line, in most cases 50 feet of anchor line is more than enough, but having an extra 100 feet or so on board is a margin of safety. Like Lew mentioned jumper cables are a good bet. Most motors have a fuse under the cowl, find out what size and carry a spare!
  16. Nice pictures! The ones I have seen of the rivers here on the news look like shots of rapids areas.
  17. Never used felt bottoms just because streams and rivers here seem to be a dumping ground and contain a lot of broken glass. Always liked the protection of thick rubber sole.
  18. I don`t see water? It must be safe!
  19. Welcome Suds!
  20. Welcome Shane! Pictures from Quinte are always nice!
  21. http://www.ngcsports.com/?ccode=GOOGLE&amp...CFRZsWAodEBKrqQ Might just be me but I like to buy things one or two at a time to see if they work, never tried them. I have no problem buying tubes, worms, lizards 2 or 3 hundred at a time, hard baits I have bought a dozen at a time. Just stuff I have had success with in the past.
  22. Supposed to hit New York and PA pretty hard, they are calling for some here also, but just a trace west of I-71, I am west of it. In the 40s by Monday and 55 by Friday.
  23. The really funny part was she was falling for it. She was ready to ask the doc about it.
  24. A lot of guys had them on the Tractor trailers at work, mixed results.
  25. LOL I used to buy gas for 31 cents a gallon the taxes on it are more than that, I bought a brand new dodge tradesman van in 1973, 3100 bucks, I bought a brand new split level home in December of 1974 for 28,900. LOL Man has changed all that! It takes a lot longer to fix things after they screw them up?
