  1. All I have used is cable steer models, Minn-kota, Motor Guide. I use the electric much more than the gas motor so I don`t want bells and whistles that may fail, just a dependable basic model.
  2. One of our Bostons would come to the edge of the pool deck and wait for my wife to get near, she didn`t want to swim, she wanted my wife to carry her around in the water. Never tried to take them in the water, if they want in they know how.
  3. Nice job Glen! Might be the last picture with you dressed for a while?
  4. Congrats Eddy! sounds like a nice place to be!
  5. My grandfather(mom`s dad) died of colon cancer back in the early 60`s. They lived upstairs from us in a 2 story house in Cleveland. Things weren`t as good as they are now, we got to see him suffer every day. Grandma didn`t speak english well and my Mom and Aunt got to play nurse. Not a fun job, most or all of his colon was removed and he pooped thru a hole in his belly. Discovered late, back then I don`t know if they had anything they could have done anyway. I had the colonoscopey about two years ago, part of my diagnostics for MS, I was having trouble, they needed to be sure I didn`t have colon cancer so a good idea. Prep was the worst part, I ate mostly fruits and veggies and cereal for a couple days before. They had given me a gallon jug with some powder in it, fill with water and chill. I think I had to start drinking it like 12 hours before I was due at the hospital, I finished drinking it sitting on the can. It worked! Wife took me to the hospital, here they specify they won`t do it if you don`t have someone to drive you home, you maybe be groggy. We checked in, they wanted me to watch a short movie about it, No! I don`t want to know nothing!. I had to wait in a hospital bed for a short period, they put a IV in my arm, then wheeled me in. Doc asked me some questions, I told him I didn`t have any problems before I got sick, but may have MS. They put a needle in the IV told me to count to 10, LOL I got to 1. I woke up in recovery. Piece of cake, probably no one is eager, there is a purpose, it can save your life, or more grief.
  6. http://www.dribbleglass.com/subpages/billboards13c.htm Play it safe! have a colonoscopey!
  7. LOL tybo! maybe he meant mallet? in case the 4oz sinker fails?
  8. Eagles / Joe Walsh cruising tunes! I have a mansion, forget the price, ain`t never been there, they tell me it`s nice. Waters the place to be!
  9. LOL Wayne, stay on track, fish pictures!

  11. Great shots Phil!
  12. Great pictures Connie!
  13. 126 beers? LOL you have been gone 10 years? Glad you had a good time! Get fidel`s autograph?
  14. Maureen I caught part of a radio interview of a lady talking about autism here. As I understood it they don`t know the cause, but there has been like a 2,000% increase in the number of reported cases since the 1950`s? Better diagnostics, or just increasing numbers? A bad thing either way!
  15. I make a lot of my own jigheads also. I wasn`t happy with the hooks offered in most ready made ones. They are offering a lot of better quality hooks in them now but the price is high, I make what I have a mold for. I don`t paint them, I use powder coating, soft plastics don`t affect it, I also put glitter in hobby epoxy and brush in on some over the powder coating. I get my lead for free also, got my powder coating for free, hooks run about 9 bucks a hundred for most but I also use some that are more.
  16. LOL ya oil baths are used on tractor trailers, you can see when the oil level is low, with grease you guess. The seals go bad sometimes, most trucks are averaging pretty close to 100,000 mile a year. Whatever you are comfortable with, both work.
  17. I don`t have any of the trolling rods, but some baitcasting and spinning. Decent rods, no problems with them.
  18. Article about them in the paper here today also, they are running behind processing them. Go figure!
  19. I don`t know if CAA is like triple a down here, we have it! Ours has a basic plan and a plus plan we have the plus. Different features one was towing distance. LOL my old van broke down at work one day, the pickup coil in the distributor went. I didn`t feel like fixing it at work, they towed it the 28 miles home. It is worth the money just for the peace of mind.
  20. It was in the paper here today also, wal-mart brand was mentioned too.
  21. On a boat that size my first pick would be an electric trolling motor, at least 74 pound thrust, 24 volt. You are required to carry a paddle or oar? Just my experiance that they are all but useless, well as a push pole if the water is shallow. 2 anchors and extra anchor line, in most cases 50 feet of anchor line is more than enough, but having an extra 100 feet or so on board is a margin of safety. Like Lew mentioned jumper cables are a good bet. Most motors have a fuse under the cowl, find out what size and carry a spare!
  22. Nice pictures! The ones I have seen of the rivers here on the news look like shots of rapids areas.
  23. Never used felt bottoms just because streams and rivers here seem to be a dumping ground and contain a lot of broken glass. Always liked the protection of thick rubber sole.
  24. I don`t see water? It must be safe!
  25. Welcome Suds!
