  1. Have a look at satellite image, 1/3 of SImcoe is still open as of January 23rd. http://coastwatch.glerl.noaa.gov/modis/modis.php?region=o&page=1&template=sub&image=a1.16023.1743.LakeOntario.143.250m.jpg
  2. I love attrition! It keeps the population in balance. What a quadhopper
  3. The other thing you get from Costco is a 2% rebate cheque in January for all purchases including the gas if you use their Mastercard. Oh and 20# of propane is $11.49!
  4. The E Health scandal is more of a piss off than this one in my opinion given the state of how the healthcare industry services us taxpayers. They threw away almost $1 billion dollars and got zero return after forcing all doctors to upgrade their own computer systems and spend countless hours keying in patient data for nothing. Go in to any hospital and ask them to look at your history and they all have the same answer. "There is none outside of our own records". Completely shameful that this could happen when the government could have purchased an off the shelf software package from any big computer software company and customized it to suit our needs and get our complete health history at the click of a mouse. Instead the tried to start from scratch with what?
  5. Wow Mike, quite the ordeal. Guilty until proven innocent. I hope they only found one cavity during the search!
  6. Very sad TJ, sorry for the loss of a member of your family. I take it from the comment from Wayne that your kids are away at school? Ours is 13 and have not had to face it yet.
  7. Hey Joey, did any of your neighbours say that your face rings a bell when you walked past them?
  8. Why not train your dog like this guy did?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nBldzJWNjM
  9. When you crash these cheap helicopters you can't get replacement parts. The issue will be when you turn it to fly towards you, the controls are now opposite. I have been flying RC planes for years and this is where everyone struggle. Keep it small for a child to keep it as an indoor toy.
  10. No need to worry Cliff, our new PM will make sure to spend even less on our military than his predecessors did. The Liberals have the worst record with spending in this area. Having said this, we will have nobody to send into a conflict.
  11. Sorry for your loss Mike. What was your Grandfather's name?
  12. Great news Cliffe, hopefully they catch the idiot. I bet his name is Rick O'Shea, no relation to Wayne!
  13. I am an R/C guy with planes and have been flying for 5 years now. We fly a mixture of gas engine planes and electric engine planes at a sod farm near Queensville. I am in the process of building a WWII Mustang which will house a gas engine when done. It it quite large with 60" wingspan and built from balsa. It is my new winter hobby!
  14. With all of the turmoil in the world just make sure to vote for a party that will protect our country both here and abroad.
  15. Well you get ice way sooner in Barrie than we do in Newmarket, so NO. Ice in my Rye yes like lookinforwalleye said!
  16. Oh my god, she sounds just like my Niece!
  17. That was probably you flying to your cottage Wayne!
  18. Well here I am a board member from very early on and a number of different versions of OFC. I love this board and the community of great people here. I read this board every day at least once and often more so. I don't often post or comment, so this is why it has taken me so long to get to this milestone. I don't fish nearly as much as I used to, so my my boat gets used much more for family day trips and cottage rentals on my favourite body of water, GBay. I have camped and fished the Moon River Basin and Massasauga PP since 1988 and just love the whole area. As a teeager, my buddy had a cottage on 12 Mile Bay just south of the Moon so that was when I first got to know and fall in love with the area. We have since been renting a cottage on 12 Mile from 2002 to present. I don't have many pictures to post because this BB limits the file size so it is not easy to put pictures up to link to a post here. Enjoy! Me and the Legend! 19. 2001 17' Legend with 75HP Merc, 42 mph with no passenger, 5250 rpm.
  20. I hate trying to sell stuff on Kijiji, there are far too many trollers and people who try to nickel and dime you to death. Why waste my time with stupid replies?
  21. That is awesome that you can go to a place so close to where you live and looking so uninhabited to boot!
  22. I have owned a Legend since 2001 and got a great end of season deal on it having been watching for a deal. I bought at the time after a lot of research for two years and found most boats other than Lund to be of a similar quality at that time in the size I was looking for. It was 17' to 18' with 75hp to 90hp. Lund was out of my price range so they were off the table. In the end I picked the Legend because it had the best interior layout at the time for my taste. Having owned the boat for 14 years now, I would not buy another one unless the quality has improved from what I currently have. Many of the screws in and around the dashboard and cockpit area have either come loose or fallen out many times and had to get put back in by me. I replaced what I could with nuts, bolts and lockwashers. Now in the last two years the decals are starting to curl up and fall off on the outside of the hull and they are no longer made. Bare metal is showing because the entire hull was not painted before the decals were applied. To me that is a shortcut. Some of the paint on the back of the transom is now bubbling up as well. If I did it all over again, I would only buy a Lund. I go on GBay a fair bit and a decent deep V is a must.
