  1. Here's a very simple and cheap camera mount jimmer and one that works very well. Just a wooden dowel the same size as a seat post hole in your deck and build a little box on top. Set the camera in the box and when your ready to lift the fish out of the net, hit the timer & smile. With a bit of practice you can get pretty decent pictures when your alone in the boat.
  2. Sadly yes.
  3. I've always liked the idea of putting people in charge of ministries who actually know something about them and having a combat veteran as Minister of Defense sounds real good to me. Never could understand having someone heading a department who knows nothing about it.
  4. Attaboy jimmer, you done good !!
  5. A quick GOOGLE check brought this up Shaun. https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CCUQFjACahUKEwjt4ObZoO_IAhXG_R4KHROmAsw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.obd-codes.com%2Fp0420&usg=AFQjCNHd7t8ZMIKonkCe1ZPS3hklrOz-9g
  6. I don't drink and have never used any drugs of any kind but have known lots of guys over the years that smoked joints and have never seen a problem with it. Seen far too many guys get nasty on booze & want to fight everybody in the room but never saw it with anyone smoking marijuana. It's always seem pretty darned hypocritical to me that you can legally buy all the booze you want but grass is illegal. Makes perfect sense to me that you should be able to go into a store and buy it just like you can buy booze.

Outstanding job on the pumpkins !! There's no kids on this road so no trick-or-treaters, so any candy in this house gets eaten by your's truly.
  9. Congrats on the new boat.
  10. Peter, I live just a few miles east of your cottage and have used a local guy a couple times to remove 7 large large trees from my property, as have some friends and also a few neighbors. He can drop a tree absolutely exactly where he wants it to land, and if you don't want the wood, he cuts it into 16' lengths, loads it onto his truck and cleans up the area so good you'll never know there was a tree there to start with. This guys good and reasonably priced and if you want his name and number PM me.
  11. That's excellent and congratulations, and as someone else suggested it certainly shows that C&R works. My best was a musky I caught 3 times in one season and another was a musky I caught twice in a weekend.
  12. Very nice indeed, I'd say your wife is having an outstanding year so far.
  13. Grandfathers are special Mike, sorry to hear your news. Sounds like he left you some great memories though.
  14. Bunch of really great pictures there !!
  15. Congrats on a successful day on Pigeon Poolwrecker and welcome to the board.
  16. And the muskies love it when the big bass show up too Brian, it gives em something to snack on
  17. The pencil reeds are pretty well done now but you'll do well in them in the springtime.
  18. Anytime you can find pencil reeds it's worth stopping and tossing a big spinnerbait, those reeds can be a musky magnet....specially after dark.
  19. 40 years ago we flipped a boat in May and it was darned cold, I sure wouldn't want to do it the end of October. Good to hear everyone got home safely.
  20. You talkin about this pike from Scugog Rick ??
  21. But I don't whine if my reports don't get a lot of attention.
  22. Why is this report more deserving of attention than any other report ?
  23. That back channel is an excellent spot for muskies Norm and is always on my milk run.
  24. Good to hear your day went so well and congrats to everyone on the muskies, always nice when everyone gets in on the action. Pigeon is a big lake and considering it was your 1st time there you guys did very well. If you decide to try it again next summer, the lower end is shallow and loaded with pencil reeds that hold a ton of decent fish.
  25. I go for a 3 mile fast walk every morning before sunrise and was just thinking a few weeks ago how tough it must be to run a full marathon which is 8 or 9 times further than I walk. Congrats on finishing that run, you should be very proud of your accomplishment.
