  1. A lot of today's fishermen would be amazed at the basic gear we used back in the day Dave, but we still caught plenty
  2. If you have a pick-up truck with a drop-in bed liner they can sometimes wear on the paint underneath which can lead to rust, but Krown actually sprays under the liner too to keep your truck bed from rusting.
  3. Purdy fish Roger
  4. Once the liquid is sprayed inside the panels they insert plastic plugs into the holes and they don't look bad at all, nothing to worry about.
  5. Received this in an email today and it shows how much more we're gonna be paying. I spose most of you got it too but for those that didn't. http://cl.exct.net/?qs=93af659d62fe28d7a4f9326c210793153f06a11cdb8bcb63e51ad0045c8524dc1f4c7e57f13de42d
  6. Sorry boys, I posted in the wrong thread.
  7. It's been about 45 years since I drove cabs in downtown Toronto in my spare time, but back then the taxi company got 50 % of your daily take & the driver got the other 50 % but he had to gas up the car out of his share.
  8. Keep on doing what you've always done around here Wayne, your knowledge & help on many things is always appreciated.
  9. I knew alot of guys from the firehalls that worked in the funeral homes Roger, some even owned their own limos. Lots of the guys worked for Brinks too.
  10. Some nights it was rather unpleasant Paul...to say the least
  11. Bright & sunny over here in the Kawarthas but sposed to get a few flurries later on.
  12. Cold always seems worse when you have to work in it compared to playing in it Paul
  13. Paying for something over time is never the best option but if your without heat now it may be something to look into. No idea what the monthly costs would be but I'm sure a furnace company could work something out for you. And with the proper type of furnace no chimney is neccesary. Hope it all works out for you.
  14. Best of luck in your new ventures Nick, I have a feeling you'll do just fine. As for the part time work, there's always plenty of jobs around. Out of my 32 years on the Fire Dept. I spent 25 of them working on my days off, as do most firemen. Most of the time I was driving trucks but other than that I did everything from driving cabs, to painting houses to cleaning offices. Lotsa work around for anyone who wants it. Go get 'em.
  15. That was a good day Wayne, no fish but lotsa laughs. And Chris, that was a day I actually wore long pants LOL
  16. It's a beautiful ship Kelvin and I used to visit it myself when it was in Toronto.
  17. I always carry booster cables just in case.
  18. Speaking of Lego's, any of you folks familar with HMCS Haida may find this intertesting.
  19. That's such great news Joey considering only a couple weeks back they said his sight was gone for good. Really happy for the little guy and looking forward to seeing him again in June.
  20. How's Ralphie doing now Joey, the eyesight still holding up ??
  21. Awesome picture Dave, nuthin wimpy about you !!
  22. No thank you Sir, I'm definitely a softwater kinda fisherman
  23. I have far more important things to do with my life than to waste it with morons on a telephone. I just hang up.
  24. I use a product called Storage Seal, just remove the 4 plugs, give a squirt into each cylinder and replace the plugs. Hit the key for 2 seconds and it's good to go for the winter. Been doing this with a couple 4 strokes for the last 15 years and never an issue.
  25. Neighbors think I'm crazy cause I wear shorts all winter unless I'm gonna be outside for a couple hours.
