  1. Congrats on the new boat.
  2. Peter, I live just a few miles east of your cottage and have used a local guy a couple times to remove 7 large large trees from my property, as have some friends and also a few neighbors. He can drop a tree absolutely exactly where he wants it to land, and if you don't want the wood, he cuts it into 16' lengths, loads it onto his truck and cleans up the area so good you'll never know there was a tree there to start with. This guys good and reasonably priced and if you want his name and number PM me.
  3. That's excellent and congratulations, and as someone else suggested it certainly shows that C&R works. My best was a musky I caught 3 times in one season and another was a musky I caught twice in a weekend.
  4. Very nice indeed, I'd say your wife is having an outstanding year so far.
  5. Grandfathers are special Mike, sorry to hear your news. Sounds like he left you some great memories though.
  6. Bunch of really great pictures there !!
  7. Congrats on a successful day on Pigeon Poolwrecker and welcome to the board.
  8. And the muskies love it when the big bass show up too Brian, it gives em something to snack on
  9. The pencil reeds are pretty well done now but you'll do well in them in the springtime.
  10. Anytime you can find pencil reeds it's worth stopping and tossing a big spinnerbait, those reeds can be a musky magnet....specially after dark.
  11. 40 years ago we flipped a boat in May and it was darned cold, I sure wouldn't want to do it the end of October. Good to hear everyone got home safely.
  12. You talkin about this pike from Scugog Rick ??
  13. But I don't whine if my reports don't get a lot of attention.
  14. Why is this report more deserving of attention than any other report ?
  15. That back channel is an excellent spot for muskies Norm and is always on my milk run.
  16. Good to hear your day went so well and congrats to everyone on the muskies, always nice when everyone gets in on the action. Pigeon is a big lake and considering it was your 1st time there you guys did very well. If you decide to try it again next summer, the lower end is shallow and loaded with pencil reeds that hold a ton of decent fish.
  17. I go for a 3 mile fast walk every morning before sunrise and was just thinking a few weeks ago how tough it must be to run a full marathon which is 8 or 9 times further than I walk. Congrats on finishing that run, you should be very proud of your accomplishment.
  18. I was by the Nogies ramp a few days ago and there were several larger boats putting in so yeah, it must still be in good shape.
  19. The place looks good bud, you've come a long ways from days you started jiggy with the tent.
  20. I've been enjoying reading your fishing tales for alot of years now Mike and they've always been entertaining to say the least and hopefully this new venture will be a huge success for you. Best of luck with everything.
  21. Thanks for putting all that together, it made for a fun read.
  22. The customer service at Bay Distributors is 2nd to none. Great folks to deal with.
  23. Not in the least Shane, I've caught a ton of muskies while the rod is tethered and never once did it get in the way. Soon as the fish hits you lift the rod out of the holder and with one hand simply unclip it and lay it down in an out of the way spot and your all set. It's all a personal choice though and if you like the tether their great, but if you'd rather not use one that's good too.
  24. I did well with a 13" jointed Believer in Walleye color Mike, but don't know how it would work out your way. Other than that bait I didn't use too many of the bigger trolling lures and seldom went bigger than 10"
  25. Seen that one before Brian but it's worth another look for sure. You can see the truck driver run away to the left just after the accident.
