  1. Don't take me too seriously, I was just having some fun with you Good luck with the bass.
  2. I've never lost anything either Shane but do know a couple guys who have had expensive rigs go over the side. The tether doesn't interfere with anything and only takes a second to unclip when a fish hits.
  3. Nice on jimmer, big fat fish.
  4. Your more than welcome. Forgot to add I make mine 4' long and that works good for me and makes it easy to unclip when you get a fish, but everybody will have their own preference as to length.
  5. I use stainless cable & crimps from Home Depot to put it together with a bit of shrink wrap to make it neat. Loop it around the reel seat then attach the reel to the rod & your good to go. I use the same cable for the tether with brass clips, just loop the cable through the clip, put on the shrink wrap & crimp it together. Same idea for the end you clip to the boat. Been using this set-up for a long time and have never had any issues at all with it. Not saying it's the only way or even the best way but it works good for me.
  6. And I recall another time we went musky fishing and ended the day with poutine .....mmmmm
  7. My winter tires are always in the garage and ready to go, I just watch the weather forecasts and when they call for the 1st snow, then on they go and it's normally in December sometime.
  8. I'm just wondering why anyone would want to catch bass when the lake is full of BIG muskies. That's like turning down prime rib for a hot dog

Bottom left of the main page is an orange square Albert, move your cursor near it and it'll say change theme, that should be what your looking for...I think.
  10. And your more than welcome to it hahaha
  11. There ain't nuthin cute about that white stuff at all
  12. Fun trip with some nice fish to go with it and that tiger is a real beauty too.
  13. Good one Chris, real purdy fish. But I was just scrolling thru the pictures at 1st without reading the text and came across the critter in the snow and couldn't believe you got all that white stuff last night when I'm not too far south and we're sitting here sunny & warm
  14. Sounds like a fun day boys and good that you guys were able to hook up. And your right Roger, it's a definite zoo around the mouth of the river some days. LOL
  15. There's an RC club that rents part of a farm field just a couple miles from me. They cut the runways every week and really look after the place, even got an outhouse there. I often go over just to watch them fly the planes & helicopters.
  16. About 10 years ago a group of us from this board got together for a friendly little musky tournament. I'd never actually met my partner till the day of the tourney and 15 minutes after we started fishing he made a mighty 2 handed cast but forgot to hit the thumb bar, the bait swung around and he clubbed me in the back of the head with a 7" solid wood musky bait called a Wakemaker. If you can imagine getting hit with a baseball bat, that's what it felt like and I saw stars for an hour. Luckily the big 7/0 hooks missed my scalp and the pain wasn't nearly as bad as you'd think. He felt terrible...obviously...but it was an accident and within a few minutes we were laughing about it. Best part though, was I went on to win the tourney and pocketed $50 for my troubles and that made it all worthwhile
  17. Hope the owners got lotsa Polyfil too
  18. Thanks for posting that video Randy and could you please let us know the opinion of MNR when your bud hears back from them.
  19. Sounds like a fun trip and you managed to raise a few muskies which can be tough on GBay when your not really familiar with the area. That Bumble Bee color is always productive no matter what bait it is and what water your fishing.
  20. Another week or so will be our 49th wedding anniversary Joey so I spose she's gonna be keeping me now LOL
  21. Never used one myself but I know you can buy cushions that heat up when you sit on them...just a thought.
  22. Yup, best post in a while, thanks for the laffs Chris !!
  23. Same with me, every time I take the truck in for regular maintenance they pull the wheels to check the brakes but when I get home I loosen them off and re-torque them.
  24. Sounds like a great plan Cliff & thanks, my coffee pots always on.
  25. Wow, that's scary stuff Rob and good to hear nobody was hurt.
