  1. Don't forget to change the oil filter also
  2. For sure Roger, even little fish can be fun sometimes
  3. I bought a new 1650 Crestliner in '99 and drove it for 10 years with zero issues then sold it to a bud who has been driving it now for another 10 years and it's still good. I'd definitely recommend Crestliner for anyone looking for a well made boat.
  4. Any size to them Roger ?
  5. Nice chunky pike japper, really nice !!
  6. Guess it all depends on how much the motor is used over the season but I always changed mine every fall. Very easy and cheap to do and good insurance.
  7. John was referring to good parenting helps to raise good kids rather than luck, it has nothing to do with that horrible accident,,,,two totally different things.
  8. And the sad part is, some lawyer....maybe even paid by us....will fight to defend him.
  9. Not entirely Drew, I did bury a small treble from a pickerel lure in my finger one time. Try as a might I couldn't get the darned thing out so I drove into town to a small emergency walk-in clinic. The Doc came in and said "Oh, that doesn't look bad and you won't need freezing, I'll just yank it out" I told him when a hook is bury in HIS hand he can yank it out without freezing but when it's in MY finger he'll freeze it and remove it GENTLY hahaha
  10. ^^^^ Your absolutely right Simon and I'm sure bullying started the 1st day we evolved from apes and it'll probably last until we're no longer on this earth.
  11. Many years ago when they started the Daily Bread Food Bank drive to collect food for Thanksgiving & Christmas for the less fortunate, residents were asked to bring food donations to the local firehalls, among other locations. We had large boxes in all the stations and when people would bring donations we'd fill the boxes. We were told that vehicles would come by every couple days to pick up whatever donations there were. We were sitting in the firehall a couple days later and a truck backs up to the building for the 1st pick-up and the fella got out and said he was there for the grub. Good stuff, so we all got together...including the driver...and loaded his van and away he went. Later on that day another truck arrives and the driver got out, showed us his I.D. and said he was there for the food. We explained that he was too late as the other guy already got it. He said that was impossible as he was the only one picking up in that area. Turns out we actually helped a thief steal food from the poor. Sad story but 100% true
  12. My son was a 6'4" iron worker and as strong & tough as they come... (but was also gentle as a lamb)... and growing up nobody ever messed with him but whenever one of his buds was being bullied Jim went in and took care of business and the cowards never bothered his buds again.. As an adult he was sitting in a bar by himself one evening having a beer and there was a table next to him with 9 loud mouths bothering everyone around them. My son had longish hair at the time plus a diamond stud earring and one of the punks came over and started hassling him about it. Jim let it slide and just continued enjoying his beer. When he was done he got up and left the bar but was followed by the 9 and once in the parking lot they started the fight. Jim was so damned tough he took them all on and won the fight all by himself and walked away with nothing more then bloodied knuckles but left the "tough guys" with a bunch of busted faces and broken teeth. Guess what I'm saying is these kinda punks are all ages and only seem to want to cause trouble when they're in a group of like minded cowards. Probably not much anyone can do other than pound the crap outta them and hopefully let them see what it's like to be on the receiving end.
  13. Yup, he sure does Kelvin & the motor too, infact he just did the 1st repair on the motor a couple years ago, not bad for a '99 Merc with many many hours on it.
  14. ^^^^^ chestnuts roasting on an open fire ?? LOL
  15. Can't see it in that picture Brian but it was raining when I took it. We had some light rain till around 2 but it;s pretty nice here now.

  17. Raining here in the Kawarthas but still getting a nice sunrise over Clear Lake
  18. Get yourself a large square bottomed musky net and you'll be happy you did, it's much easier on both the angler and the fish, specially when you can leave her laid out in the bottom of the net while you cut the hooks and then let her rest for awhile before attempting a picture.
  19. Someone who obviously needs to get a life me thinks.
  20. Atta boy Simon, your on your way now bud !!
  21. If following fish are coming from structure, mark the location on your map and come back to the same spot after dark and toss big, black & noisy slow moving baits near the surface and you'll often get the same fish.
  22. Ontario is a VERY large place so it may help with your question is you say where you live and what part of the province you want to fish in.
  23. I can't sit in one place long enough to watch a 2 hour movie, I need to get up and go do something and can't even remember the last time I sat in front of the boob tube and watched an entire movie start to finish LOL Sitting in a movie theater is even worse and believe it or not, the last time I was even in a movie theater was 1977 when we went to see Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind...wow, that was a very long time ago hahaha
  24. Good times fishing with the family Hank and sounds like a fun trip. Never fished Balsam and only once on Sturgeon but fished Pigeon a huge amount and always enjoyed that lake and gotsome very nice fish.
