This was a horrible tragedy but received very little coverage on the news, yet the crash with Kobe Bryant is still talked about constantly on both Canadian & US stations.
Sad when similar terrible things receive such different amounts of interest.
Mentioned on the news this morning that one body was recovered a couple K downstream but now they've called off the search for the others.
Evidently it's a pretty strong current thru there.
I just picked up some snow repellent yesterday and sprayed in on my shovels and it worked great today. Didn't use the snowblower yet but sprayed it also and will giver a try tomorrow.
Made the shovels so slick the wet snow just flew off them.
For $9.00 I figured it was worth a try.

Loved my SKEETER and had it for 10 years without an issue on boat or motor.
It was a great musky fishing boat and we saw plenty of action together.
But when I decided to retire from fishing I sold all my gear including the boat and this was the last day I had her and the new owner picked her up just after this picture was taken.
Kind of a sad day really.
OK, I certainly remember the V-rod sale but just didn't remember the name but my pooch was also named Marvin so maybe that's where I got lost hahaha
Gimme a break, I'm not so young anymore LOL
I only ever tasted Scotch once in my life and that was about 45 years ago in the Bahamas. It was the most offensive thing I ever tasted and I think I told my wife I'd rather drink diesel fuel. LOL
Must be an acquired taste thing.
Welcome to the board Crimsongulf, you'll like it here.
I started fishing & camping at Hay Bay with my family waaaaay back in 1955 and continued for the better part of 50 years and I've got a lifetime of memories to go with it.
You've got a great area to spend your summers.
I went for a 90 minute hike along the Otonabee River near Trent University this morning and the water is flowing unbelievably fast and much higher than a week ago. I crossed the dam at Nassau Mills Rd. and they have all 7 gates open letting water through.
Looked more like the spring runoff in April rather than mid January.
