  1. Can't help with the lake, but it's good to hear from you Rob. It's been awhile.
  2. I drove trucks with air brakes for 25 years then the government decided I needed to be tested and licensed to do it. Alot of stuff our governments get involved in doesn't make much sense
  3. My wife got me the same one for Christmas Jon, also from LeB's, and like you I did alot of researching and it seems to be one of the best around right now.
  4. That was a great video, thanks for putting it up !! I actually felt like I was the one doing the casting
  5. And another fishing report gets ruined. So sad.
  6. 130# Seaguar and crimps for me too.
  7. In all the years I've owned boats I can honestly say I have never cleaned or done any maintenance on a bilge or livewell pump and I have never had a problem with one or had to replace one. Maybe that's not what you wanted to hear but that's all I can offer
  8. Sit back and wait RG, the 4 stroke Yamaha is a fantastic motor and you'll be extremely happy you stuck it out for another couple weeks.
  9. All the best to ya Will, have a great Birthday !!
  10. I've seen that one several times Dave and he really was an amazing man in the bush. I'll watch it again every time it comes on.
  11. Excellent job Cliff, it's always nice to get things rigged up just exactly the way we like them.
  12. Last time I was in a movie theater was in 1977 when my wife and I went to see Jaws when it 1st came out. Guess things have changed a bit since then
  13. Lotsa real nice work there Chris !!
  14. Hey Simon, I never payed attention to your avatar until just now and it's hilarious....thanks for the laugh
  15. I use #5 Stringeze snaps Pete and they last forever, infact I can go all season without changing them and have never had an issue with them. Pretty sure you can get them at Tightlines on Brock Rd. in Pickering just south of the 401. I like a fine tooth file for my hooks and just use a regular triangle shaped file and it works very well. Pick them up at any hardware store. I've had work done at Shimano in P'Boro and have always been happy.
  16. Just wet your hands 1st and you'll be fine.
  17. Thanks for the heads-up Brian and on your recommendation I just ordered a set of the Rock Tamers from Cabelas. Their on back order but should be here in a couple weeks.
  18. I figured you must all carry adding machines in your boats
  19. I can't believe you guys actually count all your fish
  20. Don't worry about it Mike, those things can stop on a dime
  21. No license required once you reach 65 but you'll need I.D. to prove your age if the police or CO's question you.
  22. It'd be nice if everyone knew CPR and wasn't afraid to use it.
  23. Best of luck to your Dad Dave. It's always hard to sit back and watch loved ones going through this type of thing.

Yes, there's rules on this board and we're all expected to abide by them, but we've also got a team of very efficient moderators who do an excellent job of staying on top of things and when rules are broken, they look after it. Problem here though, is we've got WAAAAY too many guys who like to be enforcers and are always telling everyone else what to do. If you think there's a post that's breaking the rules or anything else that you think is inappropriate, use the "REPORT" button on the bottom left corner of the page and notify the mods of what you think the problem is and let THEM handle it. Course that's just my opinion.
