  1. Don't know if it'd work in your set-up Simon with dipseys or cannonballs, but for trolling musky baits I made up some wire cables with clips to prevent my rods from going overboard. I find 4' cables work well for me but others use different lengths. I loop a wire between the reel and seat to attach one end. The other end clips to the grab rail.
  2. I can't get the video to work so I don't know everything it shows but I saw it yesterday. The guy in the truck was wrong and Karma got him good, but with the woman video taping out the back window, then showing her speedometer, then out the back window again, then out the side showing the finger salute and then following the crash all the way, she sure as heck wasn't paying much attention to what was going on around her and was darned lucky she didn't cause a crash of her own. At least that was my thoughts while watching it.
  3. That things a beast !!
  4. Lotsa good times there Bill
  5. I have a bud over near Havelock and he lives across the road from a farm that raises beef and sheep. He says in the spring when all the young critters are being born the place is crazy with coyotes trying to get at them.
  6. If anyones interested, I saw an ATV for sale today sitting in a driveway on the west side of hwy 28 between Lakefield & Youngs Point...(10 miles north of Peterboro) Only thing I can tell you is it's a dark colour and has a gun case strapped to the handle bars.
  7. Nice chunky musky there Doctrt
  8. OK Norm, I know that place, we ate there a few months back after buying some shoes at Bigley's. We also like Cody's and were there for supper last Friday evening.
  9. Cody Inn at Buckhorn Norm ??
  10. That's an excellent picture
  11. Yeah, you could be right Brian.
  12. Only 4 1/2 months to go Art, bring your big baits LOL
  13. Starting to get a few bare spots on the ground in the yard and the deer are taking advantage of the grass that's available to eat now.
  14. Here's a few Nipissing muskies from the last couple years TJ And a couple St Lawrence fish
  15. If you fish in the off-season, alot of boat policies won't cover you through the winter months.
  16. Happy B-Day Norm, all the best to ya !!
  17. Maybe I'm wrong here, but it seems to me $10 is a bargain. You get to sit in the comfort of your own home and browse a catalogue on-line, pick out everything you need and it's delivered right to your front door. If you were to drive around to the different stores looking for everything I'm sure you'd spend more than $10 in gas alone. Or maybe it's just me
  18. So sorry to hear that Dave, really sad news. She looks like a beautiful dog.
  19. Just for comparison, I paid $125 for a 45" skin mount 4 decades ago. Seemed like a lot of $$$$ way back then.
  20. That's the reason for draining your gear oil and refilling in the fall, it'll get rid of any water that may be in there and eliminate the possibility of it freezing and damaging you casing. Course if you find water, you need to also fix whatever is allowing it to get into your lower unit in the 1st place.
  21. Thanks for that Joey, looks like a great day.
  22. I always get a chuckle outta the TV news stations..specially Toronto...when they do their weather reports from the salt yards every time there's some snow coming to town. Seems everything over 1" of snow is gonna be a disaster and shut the province down.
  23. I missed this somehow Art, let's hope it works out.
