Yeah, it was a very nice set-up davey and an excellent fishing boat.

I spose the outfitter could tell a paddler if he thought the conditions were too bad, but I don't think he actually has the responsibility to do so. It could even backfire on him if he said it looked OK but then it got nasty and someone died and the family tried to sue him for it. IMO, it's completely up to the renter to know what's going on. You can't look after everybody.

Years ago I had a nice Strarcraft tiller very similar to this one. It had a flat floor with a vinyl covering which makes standing and walking around much easier, plus it keeps your feet out of any water in the bottom of the boat. Storage lockers on both sides that doubled as seats and it keeps the center of the boat wide open so your not hindered by having to step over bench seats to move around. 25 HP with a trolling motor up front and it made a nice little fishing package and I even crossed the full width of Nippissing in it a couple times. I installed a swivel seat on the rear bench to make sitting for long periods more comfortable. Just something else for you to consider.

Just my opinion, but a 14 is far too small for a side console and you'll lose too much space with it. Best to stick with a tiller in smaller boats, but as I said, it's only my opinion.

I was buying a new pick-up a few years back and went into a dealership to get some info. Two salesmen were talking so I went over to them but they just continued their conversation. After 30 seconds one guy asked if he could help me. I said I wanted to buy a new truck but wanted to read the brochures to see what models & options were available. His reply was "nope, we don't have any" and just went back to yakking to his friend without bothering to offer anything else.. So I went to another dealership and bought from them.

Sounds like a salesman who doesn't need any more $$$$ in his pocket. Maybe let the dealership owner know his salesman is driving away customers.

I don't fish for pickerel but from what I hear the guys usually do good jigging while drifting down the Detroit River.

I was in Bridgenorth yesterday and saw a sign in a driveway advertising Fiddleheads for $7 a pound, no idea if that's a good price or not.

I never fish Simcoe and probably couldn't find Innisfil Beach Road on a map, but it sure sounds like somebody doesn't want you boys around. Why not tell them to stuff their boat ramp and give your hard earned money to someone who'll actually appreciate it. Course that's just my take on what I read around here.

We've got one just like that living around here Joey, black squirrel with a brown tail.

Most of the ones I see are around Lake Katchawanooka, Clear Lake & the Burliegh falls area.
