  2. I was just typing that lol
  3. Out of curiosity, would it be legal to remove a hut that wasnt yours if it is left out past the deadline? Be it to burn it or keep it or dump it or put it outside a boat launch? My buddy wanted to get rid of a portable that was destroyed after being left out all winter and was frozen a foot in but was concerned about the legality of doing so. This was a week or two after the removal date. Neither one of us wants to lose a prop on some idiots garbage
  4. Unfortunate waste of meat. Makes you wonder about some people...
  5. What about k.kelly???
  6. You should be grateful to have a father to talk to. My dad was(is) a terrible waste of a human being, I wish i had someone to fish with as i grew up. You should do what you have to do to make things right and enjoy the time you have with him. Some of us would love to have a good father.
  7. Sounds like fun, although i dont trib fish i do agree that it is nice to run into pleasent respectful anglers Happy birthday
  8. Well, i have decided to push my trip back as far as my work will allow. I have taken the 26-30 of may off and will likely leave fri night or sat morning of the 24. Thanks to everyone for posting conditions and for helping me make a hard decision. I hate the idea of not getting first crack at those ice off gators but its not worth the risk of showing up to a frozen lake. Till then i guess its backyard crappie, holland river suckers, and hopefully soon some big bad carp. Happy trails boys!
  9. I appreciate you posting updates on this thread Targa, every bit helps!
  10. Yeah im starting to get pretty antsy myself, i leave on the 13 of may but i might push it back to the 26. If its not gone by then im a so screwed!
  11. Wow, build the damn tunnel already!
  12. Its odd last year i had millions of minnows in my canal from fall right through to spring. This year there was no minnows fall through till now. I was hoping i would start seeing them soon but no luck yet.
  13. Thanks for the input guys ill keep trying till i get them. I might be touchy feely about some of my spots but simcoe isnt exactly a well kept secret lol
  14. Im going to check the temp later, if its like last years ice off it should be 37-39f about now. I think i might need a couple sunny days hittin the bottom to bring them in though. Thanks fellas
  15. I am wondering how long after the ice comes off a canal or river that it takes for the crappie to move in. The ice came off my backyard canal 2 days ago and i have been trying hard but no luck. Last year was my first targeting them until the carp come in. If you would rather pm. Me thats cool thanks in advance. John
  16. My first riggers were invaders with broken counters, we measured how long each turn was (2.5ft) and counted turns to the desired depth. Tedious at times but it worked. I tried to find counters for them but with no luck. Hope this helps.
  17. You know, i dont think i agree with a few of the things you say(it happens) but i love this idea. At least it wont go to waste...
  18. Awesome fishin man! Love those ling
  19. Ive never really fished for pannys but i suspect if you hit the docks by the marina and the shores of soldiers bay you could get your fill. Suckers should be running soon if thats of any interest to you. I went for three hours yesterday on the holly for em but still too early i think
  20. Absolutely terrible news! Probably my favourite comedian. Ill definitely miss him
  21. I think i could troll up a simcoe pike with one of those combos...
  22. Wow, i live in the wrong part of ontario. I would take a 40 inch pike as my biggest for the year and be happy lol. Hope to see some gator pics soon!
  23. I cant imagine killing a record fish just for a record. I really wish they would revise the criteria so records could be released. Although a lot of guys would release them anyways it would be nice if they got the recognition they deserve ( if they want it)
  24. Beautiful, i think the ontario record is only 40 lbs so im guessing you have beat it before. Carp is one of those fish that definitely have a breakable record. I wouldnt debate it, that fish looks like a tank, i got a 20 lb fatty in my backyard last year that was about half that size so id say you are good
