  1. Sweet gators, sometimes i wish i lived much farther north.
  2. Maybe not everyone is as manly as you???
  3. I am using a vapor cig and it works awesome. I havent had a smoke since march andhave dropped down to 12mg of nicotine now. I will be done with the vaporizor entirely by next year. Edit. I work in construction and used to smoke 2-3 packs a day while now l only occasionly puff on this thing. If it helps me it can help anyone. My goal is quitting everything entirely and this is a means to an end, not a smoking substitute for life
  4. I was thinkin the same thing! That is a beautiful pike, might be time for some gator fishin!!!
  5. I did keswick to scar. For 6.5 years before getting transferred to our innisfil yard 1-2hr there 1-2hrs home. Now im 42 minutes everyday all day and i love it!
  6. Maybe, or maybe not. Nobody really helped me out with any muskie info although i have helped others with what i know about simcoe or pike fishin.
  7. Nice gator! Out of the notty eh? Thats sweet.
  8. Makes sense, i have the week off for salmon fishing and sunday was the last day i could go, Thats a good size steelie in the bottom pic. Good stuff!
  9. Sweet deal! I havent been able to get out in a couple days but it sure looks calm there.
  10. Thanks guys, 65 lb braid mainline and 50lb flouro Fish was third as of this morning in gosd. Couldnt weigh it yesterday.
  11. Went out of the bluffs sat and put in about 9hrs on the water. Fishing was hit and miss, bait was nowhere to be found but we kept searching until we hit some fish. Caught three majors on flies and meat anywhere from 120-330 feet of water. Last fish was pushin 30, snapped a rod holder on my rigger when it took off!
  12. Thanks fellas, i normally just posted my salmon stuff on lou as i was there before i found ofc, however i will try to put reports on both sites. Im happy to share what i know as i benefitted from the knowledge of those who started a long time before me
  13. Wow 300? I probably saw 10 boats the entire time(1130am-830pm or so) mind you it was pretty foggy for a lot of it so who knows. Water temp was 56-58 up top but the fish were still fairly scattered. The deepest fish i caught was maybe 50 down. Never let a dipsey out past 170ft on a 3 setting.
  14. Went out last sat at the bluffs for some derby fishin. It was a bit choppy with some rain but we did ok. Had two hit and miss on the flasher fly combo and one knockoff on the rigger but boated 13 fish total all kings. Green fly and anchovie were the hot lures. Oddly enough up till about 530 we only had 4 fish in the boat and the bite came on hard as we boated 9 more in the next three hours. Biggest fish was dancing around 25-26lbs. Really hoping we can deck a tyee this sat but it wont be as likely as it was last year. Good luck out there!
  15. My trailer has two homemade welded rods one on either side at the back with pvc covers to prevent boat damage. Pulls straight on.
  16. Wow great report! Some very nice looking gators in that pile!
  17. Very nice fish by both guys.
  18. My buddy just tried to sell his 03 chev 2500 for a while that had around 330km on it. He had a few calls but no takers and eventually just sold it for $1000 anyways just to get it out of the driveway. If you go the kijiji route it may take a while to unload it.
  19. I realise that, it will definitely hurt the overall size of the fish but unless there was a die off ( which i doubt) than there should still be numbers. I will reserve judgement until i fish a day of surface water over 60 degrees and can see what kind of year it really is.
  20. Last year we had a few days that were 15-20 so i dont see why thats so funny. We fish 3-5 people in the boat with a 5-8 rod spread and generally put in at least 9-10hour per day.
  21. Sweet report! Some fine fishin.
  22. When i bought my boat i the buyer had to do everything, all the seller did was sign trailer reg and write a bill of sale
  23. On the south shore it sounds like there is record levels of bait. All we need is favourable winds and temps and the baitfish and kings will be around. I wouldnt be surprised to see a 15-20 fish day when i go out sat if conditions have shaped up.
  24. I went out of the bluffs on sat at noon, we fished 1200 till dusk in super choppy super cold (51-54 degree) water. We got 4 kings in the first 3 hours than nothing. Smallest 8 biggest 15lb, two on flies two on anchovie, hope this helps. It should be pretty good by the weekend
  25. 80- 130lb flouro leaders, i have been using the 100 lb most often. Highdrifter tied me some real nice ones that i caught a couple 40"+ pike on. I have not been bit off on a flouro leader but it now concerns me to hear someone else has. If im trolling i like to use the heavier 130 lb. i dont use wire at all anymore
