  4. Agreed! You can hit up launchs in bradford, gilford or keswick. You could fish the holland river from soldiers bay on queensville sdrd all the way down to cooks bay without having to worry about the waves( which will be choppy from all the boat traffic alone on a long weekend) I think you have to pay at the one launch in keswick now but theres a dirty one 200ft south of it u could park for free i think. Be safe out there, some people have no respect for small vessels on the bay ( i only had a 12ft tinnie up till last year)
  5. Nice pike, the top one has a cool pattern on it.
  6. Wow, dont know what to say to that!
  7. Awesome report! Some very nice fish.
  8. Concrete finishers can make a heck of a lot more than 50k a season, you can double that as a union worker.
  9. Sweet ride!
  10. The d and z are seperate, d is the driving part that allows you to drive a straight truck no trailer. Z is your air brake endorsement, its a seperate course that cost about 250 and is done in one weekend. You can book and write your d test easy enough The first part is a written, just like your g1 and about as simple. You can than go do your course where they will teach you how to drive and most give you a vehicle to do your d road test. Your z has to be re written every 5 years your d is good for life i believe. The opportunities open up a lot with this licence You will always be able to get a job somewhere. Im a concrete pump operator but i could drive a ready mix truck, dump truck, garbage truck, etc etc if need be. Hope this helps John
  11. Nice report. Good pics
  12. [quote name="captpierre" post="859522" timestamp=" Have to admit I don't like using minnows. Casting those little guys thru the air with a hook in their mouths. Thats why i cant/dont use frogs and havent since i was a kid.
  13. I did, loosehead prop all through high school
  14. I have struggled with this idea in the past, i dont believe they feel pain like we do but definitely feel something. I generally oversize my equiptment for the job at hand so that im not exhausting the fish to death as well. I like to make the experiance as painless and as efficient as possible for the fish. As fishing is far and above my favourite hobby/passion/obsession, i wont be quitting any time soon so i do the best i can.
  15. River monsters, this man has my dream job. Im not even big on travelling but i would sacrifice a lot for a shot at some truly monsterous fish.
  16. That sucks man, hopefully you can get your stuff back together soon.

  20. Im pretty sure most people can take issue with many things big and small at the same time. I find it disrespectful.
