  1. BOG aka scugog
  2. great videos Terry. I've got a camera as well and let me tell you it seriously cuts into my fishing time! Too fun just to watch.
  3. not sure why this is such a bad thing...unless you were planning on returning them which I've never heard of anyone doing. These receipts just end up as more litter on the ice with the plastic bags and cardboard boxes people are kind enough too leave behind.
  4. hahaha 7 inch jumbos! I hadn't seen these reports, thanks for posting them Terry. Clearly someone trolling for a response.
  5. I eats 'em meself
  6. I sing to myself. Give me half the stereo money Rick and I'll serenade you while fishing.
  7. I've been on 7 cruises (can't get enough of em!). If its all new to you, then take the excursions offered by the ship. Cost more, but you'll see the best things an island has to offer and they are reliable. If you're adventurous and know what you want to do on the island (by looking at what the ship offers), just walk off the ship and grab a cab (you wil have NO PROBLEM finding a cab!! They are waiting for suckas). Negotiate the price first as cabs have no meters. Staff on the ship can tell you what you should see on each island, and how much a cab ride should cost to get there. I've fished the port at San Juan and caught jacks off the pier. Lots of ballyhoo (needlefish) that can be caught on microtubes. If you have the right gear, these ballyhoo then make great 'cuda bait! Saw an enormous tarpon cruising the pier at San Juan. I've also used small pieces of banana for bait if you can believe it. Catch some crazy looking fish with that stuff...I'm talking purple and yellow with buck teeth! In St. Thomas its all about the shopping (there are free shuttles from the pier to town). There is also Magen's Bay beach which is very nice if you want to relax (requires a cab ride). There was some major fish busting the surface when we were there, but I had no rod that day. The chairlift halfway between town and where the ships dock gives a nice view and you can get sauced on rum punch at the top. Makes the ride down fun! Enjoy it, a great way to vacation. p.s. order as many entrees or appetizers as you want at dinner, wait staff will get whatever you want in anticipation of their juicy tip from you at the end of the week. And don't believe travel agents who say the tips are included...that's only on booze you order. Make sure you have enough $$$ at the end of the week to tip wait staff, maids etc
  8. I can see my house! Guess its time to downsize
  9. big fish! looks like they kicked it around like a soccerball for a bit, seems to be marked up (guess it ain't easy pulling a submarine like that through a small hole in the ice...probably nailed it in the chops a few times when they were trying to make the hole bigger)
  10. We've got some relatives on Balsam, I asked them about Mitchell because it does look good from the road! They said pretty much what you've been hearing here..."good from far, but far from good". Give it a shot and if it doesn't pan out there are many lakes a very short distance away, make your holiday a bit of an exploring adventure!
  11. this is easy, one of the greatest bands of all time R A M O N E S !!! (may most of them rest in peace) following in their footsteps, I think second best would have to be the Offspring who have unbelievable talent, just don't have the mystique/presence the Ramones had. On the positive side, they are alive.
  12. good chart, still not sure how much ice I need for my pogo stick though
  13. -12 in barrie this morning, that'll make ice in a hurry! Glad to hear someone getting out in southern ontario!
  14. awesome stuff. I hear there are a lot of hammerheads in the Singer Island area, go get a big one!
  15. man oh man what a collection of misfit fish! Sounds like you caught every creepy crawly the depths had to offer up. Good stuff
  16. happy B-day. Man that is some serious green grass for mid january
  17. pike teeth will cut through 30lb braid like a hot knife through butter. When that happens you've lost a lure and possibly killed a real nice fish. I tie 50 lb fluoro leaders for pike and have not been bit off (yet) BUT I have had to discard some leaders because they are nicked. Once they have a weak spot those leaders break real easy so you have to keep an eye on them
  18. yipes, those things look like bass almost! Big perch, lots not forget xrap is 6'8" 325lbs
  19. I like your boots
  20. BONZI!!!
  21. can't believe I put my boat into storage in November
  22. ya, what they said. Great place to keep the kids busy and catch a ton of 7 inch perch. Rain tomorrow I think, but not too cold. Don't stay longer than the young ones want and it should work out great
  23. don't fish with Rizzo...he's a jerk and always catches the biggest fish
  24. what's the world coming to, saw people boating around on Kempenfelt bay today as well!
  25. just to get out on the water more often, try out at least 2 new lakes I've never fished before
