  1. crazy start, no way it will continue...final score prediction 5-3
  2. We still have 6 inches in my yard in barrie, I would think an hour or two north of here should have plenty. Failing that go to London, they must have some left
  3. 1976 12' Crestliner called the SS Platypus with a 1967 6hp Evinrude. My grandfather gave it to me when I was a teen back in the 80's and he got too old to fish.
  4. all I want for christmas is computer skills to mess with stuff like that. I'm envious
  5. if Adam only packs pork and beans and then tells you not to worry about the temps you better run for your life
  6. black ice is bad for driving. Good hard stuff for fishing in my opinion. I love it when I can see down through the ice. When you're bringing in fish they look huge!
  7. because I am incredibly lazy, I just run set lines. Most often hook through the back. I'll have the hook just barely under the baits surface, easy to rip out on hookset. With bigger baits (ie 8-10 inch suckers) I'll go one through the mouth and then a stinger treble hook on a 6 inch leader further down the body.
  8. fantastic news...I'm so proud (sniff, sniff)
  9. better not get into the crystal ball business, that game sucked
  10. idiots. Hopefully you've got the means to treat yourself this christmas. I've had my eyes on the jonboats at BPS. A 12 footer is around $700 I think
  11. why not, I need a new avatar photo, taken last time I made it out to simcoe for a meet and greet (about 4 years ago)
  12. no doubt, used to go out and swim for a half hour straight out in the lake, then 45 minutes back in!
  13. that would be a great way to stay at Lakair, even has plenty of room for Roy to fall asleep on the deck
  14. this is as bad as it got up here a few days ago. Next time I'm grumbling and shoveling I'm gonna click on this thread and look at those pictures again. Puts everything in to perspective
  15. thanks for the update. Won't be long now on some of the smaller lakes a bit north of here.
  16. wow what a great problem to have! You've caught a ton of muskies since that one was taken I'm sure, not surprising you can't recall the details of each.
  17. its because of idiots like that I have to work on the week-end p.s. I'm a funeral director
  18. better kayak than float tube
  19. more cold, less snow please
  20. those are some unbelievable pictures. Suddenly the dumping we got (close to a foot) doesn't seem so bad!
  21. hey nice video. Just a heads up...worms are bait, not lunch.
  22. My condolences that you no longer have six inches
  23. nautifish I'll call you next time I need one taken off the hook. Dang things give me the creeps
  24. I've got an Eskimo "Barracuda". Went to a meet and greet with my buddy Lurch (may he rest in peace) a few years back with some Fishontario guys. Brutally cold out on Miner's Bay. My auger would not run in the -30 temps. Who came to the rescue but somebody with a jiffy. For style points a like my barracuda, but to do it all over again the jiffy seems more reliable. Mi auger wouldn't start until the sun came over the horizon and heated it up a bit.
  25. from the simcoe meet and greet a few years back. The memorable use of my neighbour's Barbie Sled...yeh, my neighbours...yeh, that's it
