I found that double clicking was very annoying but you used to be able to switch to a different colour screen and it wouldn't do it anymore. Don't see that option here now.

I've only used the 4 lb line for pannies last year and seemed fine. I guess I'll find out how the others work this year. Snce Rapala's a good name I figured you can't go wrong with that price.

I didn't pick up much stuff this year as I have in the last couple years. I picked up a catfish shirt, another Oregon for my brother and a couple other things. I only saw one MH 7 foot Bill Dance combo left so I grabbed that. Grabbed more of that Rapala line again this year. For $1.99 you can't beat it. I did notice after I got home that the weight that's in the bottom of the trolling minnow bucket was missing in mine so now I have to take that back. Other than that, not much for sales for me this time. I had a problem using my rewards card. They said the card wasn't on file. I just used it in January and they just sent me my certificate in the mail so how does that happen? What a pain getting that straightened out. Wonder if anyone else has problems with theirs.

I was there last weekend and there was a layer of slush between the ice and snow. With the weather this week, who knows.

I still don't know what to pick for a sonar. I really don't like flashers either and don't want to pay for something I don't really like but definately should have sonar. So many choices to pick from.

I thought it was a little disappointing too. Hasn't been the same since they switched. The only reason I go is for the pro seminars but wasn't interested in any this year. I'd rather see Al Lindner and not James. Missed Al last time. He had to catch a flight right after his seminar so that was a huge disappointment. Wanted to see him for years. They did have some deals at the Radioworld booth. The Ice 55's were over a hundred dollars cheaper than Bass Pro. They also had the Garmin map discs on too. Again, cheaper than BP. Other than that, not much in it for me this year.

I tried a sample of both the kangaroo and camel pepperettes and I think I liked the camel better so I bought those ones. Kangaroo burgers are really good. I haven't eaten my camel burgers yet. This was the first time I noticed those pepperettes at the show. They've had alligator before but it was hot so you couldn't tell what it was. Still good though.

You didn't happen to get that rod at Walmart did you? Looks like the one I got. Love the deer pics.

For anyone interested, Radioworld had some deals on at the show. I needed to pick up a topo Canada disc for my Oregon. Canadian Tire here in town has them for $180. Bass Pro sells them for $150. Radioworld has them for $125. Glad I waited. They had the fish tv's for $125 also. For anyone thinking of getting an ice fishing flasher, they had the Humminbird Ice 55's on for $445. Bass Pro sells them for $600. Great deal there. I would have picked one up but I really don't like flashers. Should have anyway for that price.

I'd pay the $300 vet bill before I'd shoot my dog. If you loved that dog, you owe it to him. A gun shot might be quick and he might die immediately but I couldn't do it to mans best friend. I just couldn't. I can understand not wanting to pay that much, which I think is too much, but it's your dog. Don't do it.

Sounds like you got lucky. I agree with Roy. Good and bad drivers are everywhere. I encounter aggressive ones when I go thru Quebec enroute to New Brunswick every July. I don't think anyone does the 70 in those 2 lanes with the cement barriers like 2 feet outside the lanes. Talk about scary. And no one does the limit thru the tunnel either but that's not so bad. I've never seen the scenery jjcanoe is talkin' about. Hopefully this year.

I always go to both. If I were to pick only one, I'd pick the Sportsmen's Show. It'll be interesting to see what it's like at the new venue.

Don't have any advice on a tip up since I just got into ice fishing but I prefer the 8" auger incase I get a nice size fish. Wouldn't want to get a huge pike that wouldn't fit thru the hole. I got the Mora strikemaster at Bass Pro 'cuz it was cheaper that the Lazer one. I paid $54.99 and the Lazer was $94.99 so I went cheaper. Then I saw the video on how much easier the Lazer cuts and wished I got that one instead but it works okay. That was regular price too. It does the job anyway.
