I have done the same as bill M and that was brutal I have went from port Newcastle to port credit and back in a boat and there was decent true 3-4ft southwesterly waves and that was quite the ride and we were only 4 miles offshore to avoid the near shore chop and shipping traffic and sailing race around Toronto islands and my bud and I are very experienced boaters and that was an experience we also crossed Lake Ontario lots of times over to olcott NY and went from Oshawa harbor to the niagara bar in rough conditions !!!! All it would take for your buddy to be screwed would be a cold water upwelling and have a temp inversion and instant fog !! And he would die !!!!!! Better give him a good shake and get some sense into him ??? Or let him read all theses posts !!!!!! Oh ya plus GB had low water conditions and shoals and islands as well as the big ships and barges at any time so he really needs to know theses things !!!!! Like Roy said in his post why ??????????????????

That's great news Joey !! I have ordered worm harness making parts and beads and clevises from them for years !!! Oh ya and a wire making form as well and tons of paint and decals for all my salmon spoons and they are always great to deal with even if they are back ordered on parts !! If you are launching out of round lake center or bonechere prov park head to the north east of the lake there is 2 small islands and the deepest spot is out from there there is a big shoal and troll or jig parallel to those 2 islands I have done well there the trout will push the baitfish up to the shoal and feed there !! I have not jigged there I was running dipsey divers and a half & half size 60 Williams wabbler. !! Because round lake is a deep basin lake it has a very pronounced thermocline if you have a decent graph you will see it no problem usually around the 30ft mark !!! And it does blow up pretty good and others than those 2 islands there is nowhere to get out of the wind so if you have a small boat just a heads -up good luck and let us know how you did !!! Check regs there is a slot size there as well !!! Cheers

I use wacky senkos in up to 25ft no problem and yes it will take a bit longer to sink but it does at times drive the bass crazy and it will produce better at times than a weighted worm that sinks fast !!! It all about the action and the senko pulsing as it sinks !!!! Sometimes I will use a weighted 1/8oz mustad weedless hook and it will sink a bit faster into the weed pocket openings or if it's a bit of a windy day !!!! There is no wrong way to fish a senko it's my fav style of bass fishing besides a topwater frog !!!! Like someone above said to put a splitshot on the line and that helps its all about trying new ways to fish it !!!! Even a weighted worm offset hook in the nose of the senko will get it down to 20ft pretty quick !!! Smallies go bonkers over that set-up fishing in the Haliburton/Bancroft lakes where it's rocky and there is a deep drop off !!!! It's so versatile I have caught pike muskies walleye and even a unexpected 3lb lake trout while fishing that presentation !!!!! My gf will sometimes even wacky hook a senko and troll with it behind the boat really slow while I'm moving along the shoreline fishing the shore !!!!! And it's amazing the bass she gets using it just that way !!!!! She even caught a whitefish in the Ottawa river drifting with a wacky rigged senko over a 15ft shoal while we were smallie fishing !!!! Lol. Lol. Let your imagination come up with a set-up you might just be amazed at the results !!!!! Tight-lines. Shawn

And some bus routes are down too mostly along the lakeshore and bay view areas debris and cars abandoned have to be removed first !!!! Hope this helps

There is a friend on my fb who is running a kids fishing event on our lake and he is looking for people do donate fishing rods lures nets they don't use anything fishing relegated so I told him I have a few lures and a couple of fishing rods and reels to donate. As well !!!! And they work just fine it's that I don't use them !! I think it's the end of the month !!

Lake Ontario has huge massive smallies !!!!!! It's the secret as everyone goes to Erie for smallies but lake o has monster smallies !!!!! And most people will not give up their lake o spots but the further east you go the better it gets and all around the Kingston area it's amazing but between Toronto and coburg there is some great smallie areas if you can get contour maps of lake o and know what the bottom composition is you can figure it out !!!!! I have got some brutes at both the Darlington nuke plant and the Pickering nuke over the years !!!!!

Yes like tip-up said because of the tanin stained water the backs of the walleye are jet black and their sides and belly are just as gold and awesome !!! The smallies are black too !!!!

That price isn't too bad terry considering its brand new and you got full replacement value with no depreciation !!! That sounds pretty good to me I think you did well I called around to many as well and some company's were right out to lunch and some would not honour a replacement even for their higher premium ??? what the hell. It's all a scam for sure did you ask about any electronics or add ons usually they want to know and will raise your premium some will only cover the boat motor and trailer and not any items you install or put in your boat !!!! That's covered under your home policy !!!! It's ridiculous for sure !!!! Grrrr frustrating to say the least !!!!! How's the new boat running ?? Done the break-in yet???

The bay is called sackett bay !!!!! To the left of the bay there is a nice point and a steady dropping shoal !!!! Great spot !!!! Up near Boyd island in the north end is good for eyes too !!!!! Cheers & good luck
