  1. I'm far from being an economist. I work everyday to support my family, I don't spend more than I make . . . But our government takes the liberty of shipping our oil to other nations only to buy it back at higher price, does this make sense?
  2. I produced the printed version for two editions. I went through a lot of information; a huge project to do, it takes two months. Glad to see it again. It gets bounced around different suppliers. Thanks for posting.
  3. I've posted many times on gas going up. It seems what they can get where they can get it. For the past year I've been using COSTO exclusively and the are always 5-6 cents cheaper that all the others in the GTA. As long as this continues the others will NOT see another dime from me. Let's not be stupid, at Weston Rd and Hwy. 7 there are 2 stations Petro and Esso and COSTCO two blocks away is always cheaper. Does COSTO get its gas closer than the others? WE are being had . . .
  4. Snow all melted, runs great. Thanks for all of your tips and suggestions.
  5. Quit rubbing it in Lew. I had a 1995 the would not quit, I sold it with 373,000 km. One of the biggest mistakes of my life. That thing was bullet proof and still running near Fergus. I hope it's the frozen thing GBW/DRIFTER but I keep it in a garage, not heated but quite warm!
  6. Friday I got stuck in a parking lot at work and on our street. Had a difficult time freeing the car out of the snow . . . Drove yesterday and all seemed well. This morning at 60 km I felt a little shake nothing serious probably the ice and snow patches on the road. I took it on the 400 and when I hit 70 and 80 this thing started to shake like crazy, took it back below 70 and all went quiet! Did I do in the ball joints trying to get out of the snow? It' not a 4x4. The steering is fine.
  7. [quote name="T.J. Quesnel" post="765799" timestamp="I tell my wife.. The Honda Gennys and the Husq. chain saw are the best investments i ever made! Wait until she reads your post boss, You're going to Jiggy Jiggy on your own!
  8. Now that I don't get out I actually watch them witha coffee and chores start. BUT I have always wondered WHY do they air these programs on Saturday morning when most anglers are out fishing! Bill, how many have you watched after you stopped beings kid? lol ok maybe I'm missing recording for later viewing.. . .
  9. OSHAWA, Ont. - A southern Ontario man says he will fight the $5,400 bill he got from a fire department for rescuing him after he went through the ice while fishing. Neil Robbescheuten, 62, was ice fishing on Lake Scugog earlier this month when a dense fog rolled in and he became disoriented trying to find his way back to the shore. The Oshawa man says he went through the ice in a marshy area near some bullrushes so he was able to pull himself out onto a tree stump while he called 911 and three firetrucks responded to rescue him. He later received the invoice of $5,392.78 for the rescue and says he plans to fight it because he worries it will make people think twice about calling emergency services when they're in trouble. Scugog Fire Chief Richard Miller says while this is the first such invoice there, the township north of Oshawa has had the ability to issue them for years. Miller says the temperature was warm and rainy that weekend and the local conservation authorities had issued warnings urging people to stay away from bodies of water.
  10. thanks Bill, I'll stay on the sidelines for now, I started in '68 and loved it, did it all. But one of these days I may come back. I've never caught a perch on Simcoe! Lots whites, herring and lakers and ONE ling that the CO wanted, thanks, but I'll eat it. Just be safe out there.. Getting home is what is alll about!
  11. Love reading this stuff. I've seen almost any type of vehicle out on Simcoe, including buggy jobs for the desert (him, I'd like to meet again, late 80s). Going as fast as it would go with no care whatsoever. let's not argue on what is safe and what is not, OR what can be done with what safety equipment. We are chansing it and should take outmost care. There is always someone on shore waiting for us. A fish or a good day out is not worth a life. I have done some stupid things that when I read these posts wish I would have not done. I love when we get posts on how to repair a leaking rivet in the summer, yet we drive a truck into the unknown in the winter. Just my two cents.
  12. The pail is upside down, hasn't snagged anything yet.
  13. We cleaned the drainage pipe (brown stuff in the hose) checked outside and some the same stuff in the vent. Looks like lint from the drier is getting sucked into the vent pipe and back into the drain. gave ita good cleaning, cleaned the heat sensor and off she went. Going have to keep my eye on the drain and keep it clean . . On a side note I wrapped the water pipes with foam insulation, at some point the UPC code fell of and got sucked out only to be trapped by the wire mesh outside, and it stopped my water heater! Drove the tech cray trying to figure it out. Thanks for your input from the other link.
  14. I have lots of those 5 gal pails (Festa Juice) could have given it to you for free. A member who used to guide on Simcoe came one year and took 10.
  15. I have Bryant furnace HIGH IF, approxametaly 12 years old. For the last week it's been acting up, blowing heat sometimes and sometimes not, it does cycle . . .But the burner won't egnite on occasion . . . I've had it looked at and it will run fine for a while and then go back to the same symptoms. It will not heat up more than, 19.6 to 22.6 C even with the thermostat at 24.5. . . . Any furnace guys have any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
  16. Good luck Cliff, hope you get it back. Many years ago fishing Owen Sound by the Elevators it got so windy we had to dodge them! They were heading out to Georgean Bay, they got smaller and smaller as the day went on!
  17. I've been here since 2006, congrats boss. A good place to be. A
  18. What ever it does, BE careful. A bad at home is better than getting rescued or looked for. And yes, I have taken some chances which I now regret when I look back.
  19. Works great on the iPad. Roy, take Saturday and Sunday off.
  20. Well I got it right on THIS computer, and I'm not touching anything else. Now for the other two at home, it's a different story, but I'll get it! Looks really good
  21. It looked amazing and the when I signed in it went back to white
  22. All I see brown is the word member! But then I'm ona an iPad.
  23. To make it look a bit better - get rid of the grey type, make it black, typographically speaking. This will add a bit of colour to the screen. Just look at the type under and advertiser looks a lot more readable than members who post . . . I bang heads with some of the people I work with when the do a site and all the type is grey or revised out of black!
  24. Congrats. Irish said it best, it will get more expensive, but they are great to have (I have 4 adult girls) they liked shoes and coach purses!
  25. I can see that the 2 previous number add up the next!
